North Cascades Mountain Hostel

This place is great! Slept in bunk house. New, safe, very clean, very comfortable beds with fresh sheets/comforter, friendly and hard working owner (Paul), cool black dog, can walk to town, great kitchen and views and very inexpensive. Great night's sleep. It doesn't make sense to go anywhere else.

If anyone is in North Cascades and is looking for a cheap and nice place to stay, this is the one place where you should stay. Owners are very nice and very accommodating. I was coming late and they were nice enough to keep the key outside. Kitchen , rooms and bathroom were clean and I would like to stay there again.

Had to make an overnight stop at Winthrop on our Cascade loop drive and we stayed here. Hostel is clean and comfortable. Paul, the owner is very helpful and friendly. People staying are mostly from Seattle. There is a full fledged kitchen although we did not use it. The bathrooms, though a bit small are clean. The place is one block from the main street and is nicely located for a short stroll to nearby restaurants. Will definitely stay here if passing through Winthrop, WA.

Came into Winthrop with a buddy on Saturday night during 49er days...Hotels were mostly full. Danean, the manager, took good care of us, got us beds at a reasonable place and told us about Rocking Horse Bakery for AM. Walking distance to all downtown establishments. Take a short walk to the Shafer Museum, then down to Bakery and River. Check out the Red Barn and Brewery.

Room Tip: There's also a cottage in back, didn't see that room.

Stayed here with two friends for a birthday weekend away and had a blast at the hostel, and in the quaint town of Winthrop. Hostel was clean and comfortable, and the
manager was helpful with directions, advice on the local happenings and hiking, and even made us breakfast one morning. Great kitchen to use with basic amenities provided that helped make our trip on a budget fantastic. Will def be back!

This hostel is the way to go. I had an extended stay and always felt at home. Its location is prime, the kitchen has everything you could ask for, it is always clean, coffee and tea is available daily, and the manager is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. I couldn't have asked for better hospitality and loved meeting all the interesting people who came through. I have stayed at other lodges in Winthrop and will never go back as long as a spot is available in the hostel. I highly recommend this place if you want a guaranteed fun, memorable, and comfortable stay in the valley.

If your looking to go mountain biking there is a bike shop close by too. I would absolutely stay here again. Thanks everybody!
