We were on our way from north cascades np tp glacier np and looked for a place for the night. Got here on the way, luckily they had a cabin and as we were only teo and the cabin had two bedrooms they charged us only for one bedroom which was very nice (it was the inly available room in the complex). Very "homey" place with a great family that runs the place, next time will definetly book and stay a couple of days there!

This was a nice get away for me and my wife on our 29th anniversary. However, let me start with the man's perspective. For me it's all about expectations. The advertising said the cabins were "river front". For me this means from the cabin I will be able to see the river and enjoy the view. Not so. The river is about 50 yards away and down a bank, so you cannot see it until you walk over to it, but you can hear it. They also said the cabins had wifi. Once you get in the room the instructions say that wifi is available in the office. If you have a really strong antenna and go on the back deck (closest to the office), you can get wifi. The last thing from the man's perspective is the "private deck". For me, privacy is a big deal so I assumed "private deck" meant privacy. Not so. The deck is "private" meaning it is exclusively yours, however there is a deck 10 feet away on both sides of you in full view where your neighbors are enjoying their privacy. Once I recovered from feeling misled, the area is great and the cabins are large, very clean, and very nice. And, if your staying in Winthrop, a drive up to Slate Peak is a must do. The views are amazing. Now for the female perspective...
I was very pleased the moment I walked in to the cabin. We had stayed in hotel rooms the previous two nights in Wenatchee. In comparison the cabin was spacious, light and very clean. It has a full kitchen. I loved the deck. There are tall aspens outside the deck of Cabin C which add a little bit of privacy. The open floor plan was homey, the pocket doors for the bedroom and bath provided privacy inside. The location was within walking distance of Winthrop, but far enough away that you do not feel the busyness and bustle of downtown Winthrop. Charcoal briquettes for the bbq, bicycles and dvd's were complimentary. We were not bothered by staff. The feel is very homey. It is a perfect place to relax. I would go back. I was a little disappointed by not being able to see the river from the deck, but i did not miss internet connectivity. I would recommend they add a laundry facility. As near as I could tell the closest one was in Twisp. Over all, a great place to stay. I would and have recommended it to friends.

This is a great place to stay if you want to be able to walk to town, but enjoy peace and quiet when at your hotel. We've stayed in a cabin twice. They are well designed and decorated. Cabin A doesn't have a full kitchen. I would recommend Cabin B or C. Overall they are very nice. Did notice some areas that need cob webs removed and dusting done a bit more thoroughly. Outside porch areas could be kept up a bit better. The large grassy area, hammocks, fire pits, inside pool and river access make this a great place to "get-away" and relax!

Room Tip: Would not choose Cabin A if you want a complete kitchen, but the bedroom is better for sleeping as i...

Same lovely place but it's slipping a bit. I shouldn't have to walk from my cabin to the office to get wifi. And the folks in rhe office need to be a little less "whatever." You have a great setup, don't let it slip .

We discovered River Run Inn in 2006 and have made it our vacation favorite ever since. This is our 12th stay here and it has always been fabulous; we have come Spring, Fall, and Winter. No matter if the Inn and Cabins are full, it always feels private and cozy. Our dog loves it too, and gets very excited when he realizes early in the trip where we are going.
River Run Inn reflects the warm and welcoming spirit of its management and staff: beautiful grounds; lighthearted and lovely art; a generous supply of towels; a good bed with cozy bedding; a well-equipped kitchen; and attractive and lighting. You can tell we love RRI!

We wanted to get away for a couple days of fishing and found the River Run Inn on the web. It is back off the main road and along the Methow River. Very picturesque, quiet and relaxing. The owners and staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The room was attractive and had everything we needed, (TV with a built in DVD player, mini frig, microwave, coffee maker, table and chairs, couch, etc.). We had an upper room with a balcony that overlooked the grounds and the Methow River, with chairs to sit in for relaxing and enjoying the view. It was sunny the day after we arrived and after fishing in one of the nearby lakes, (Pearrygin), we took advantage of relaxing by the river in one of the hammocks tied between the large trees in the yard. We didn't use them, but BBQ's are available and there is a swing set for children. Dogs are welcome also. There is a shop attached to the Inn that rents sports equipment during the summer, (river rafting, etc.). Although we didn't use it, there is also an indoor pool and hot tub area that is nice. The only thing I could mention that would be critical is that there was quite a bit of water pipe noise when adjoining rooms took showers, but it was limited and temporary. We especially enjoyed fishing at Pearrygin Lake State Park. There are two docks by the boat launch area in the eastern campground, (the second campground after the resort).
