“Good breakfast option”
Reviewed September 3, 2014

This is our go-to breakfast option when we head into Westport. The service on our most recent visit was much better than it has been in the past. Typically large portions for most meals. The biscuits and gravy are better than most places and the bacon is really good.

“Some of the best breakfast around!”
Reviewed August 28, 2014

My Wife and I decided to heck with the Hotel Continental Breakfast thing, and decided to drive into town for some real breakfast. The Blue Buoy didn't disappoint. The Wife settled for a Senior Breakfast and I decided to have the Veggie Omelette with a Oh yeah!, a Oyster Shooter. For Beverages the Wife had the House Coffee (with a wide variety of creamers) that most folks just don't carry, and I settled for some up the street Cranberry Juice with a lemon (got to try it). The food was delicious, (little slow in coming out though), the staff was top notch and again a super view of the waterfront. We will also return as time allows!

Sincerely!, Richard F.

“Good, but a wait”
Reviewed August 24, 2014

We had both breakfast and lunch here on a Saturday morning. The restaurant was busy but not full. The staff was friendly but had a hard time keeping up. The hang town omelet was really good, with the oysters cooked perfectly for me-still moist inside. for lunch, we had chowder, fish and chips and salads. It took a really long time for the food to arrive, but the seafood was really good.

“Outstanding!”
Reviewed August 24, 2014

We happened to come across this restaurant and were so glad we did. We ordered clam chowder, clam strips and shrimp. The clam chowder is the very best we have ever had. Our waitress told us her Mom had made it for years, and you can tell it is NOT from a can. Absolutely the best in the USA! The shrimp was perfect, golden brown and crispy, with a flavor to die for. The clam strips were perfect, tender and golden brown and so very good. The service was very good when we were there, and we visited twice. We highly recommend this restaurant.

“Westport Waterfront”
Reviewed August 19, 2014

There didn't seem to be a plethora of restaurants in Westport and this place got good reviews on Yelp and the six of us headed over for a late breakfast. Kudos to our waiter Kenneth, who was amazingly friendly, helpful and attentive. It was about 1030 in the morning and some of us wanted breakfast food, some lunch. We totally appreciated the restaurant's willingness to offer their fish and chips at that hour of the morning -- and that may have been why we waited a long time for our food. But it was good when it finally did arrive. The air conditioning didn't appear to be on, the lights were really bright and hot, and the restaurant was crowded and uncomfortably hot -- that was the only real complaint.
