We ate dinner here twice in May. We went specifically to try the Russian and Ukrainian food and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious: red borscht, green borscht, tender stroganoff, pirogy, etc. All the portions seem very generous, especially the combo plates – really too big for one person. We also tried one of the sunset dinner menus with 4 courses for $17 dollars (with the steak and prawn entrée). Everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and a great value at $17 dollars. A meal of this quality would have been significantly more expensive in Seattle. The staff was very pleasant and the service was prompt and efficient. The dining room is somewhat formal (and a little dark) but fairly attractive. We were comfortable even though we were dressed fairly casually. The restaurant seems to emphasize special occasions – but don’t wait for a special occasion to eat here. The food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable given the quality, so it is a great dining option any time. The river walk is just a couple blocks away so it makes a great after-dinner stroll.
