“WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2013

We have been traveling for over a month through several states and came upon The Windmill for dinner. First, the music was wonderful, the waitresses went beyond the call of duty-attentive, full knowledge of wine list and menu, meal was mouth watering, (ordered Chicken Oscar and Steak, Rib-Eye Entrees), prepared PERFECTLY, wine incredible-(great new local recommendation, bought an extra bottle to take home so great!), homemade chocolate cake and strawberries for dessert melted in your mouth...
We will definitely be back soon, if not tonight, if we get to stay in the area another night...
If you are looking for a great dinner experience this is the place to go....

“Now has new ownership/management”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013

Went to the Windmill for our 36th Anniversary. The food was so much better than it has been for the past several years. I had the filet and it was cooked to perfection, the soup delicious and hot, baked potato just the way you want it, hot. The place is cleaner and fresher, looks great. The staff a pleasure, they treat you like welcome guests. I highly recommend you give it a try. It's earning back it's reputations as a Wenatchee Landmark and Icon.

“Worst ever visit”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 25, 2013

I've been eating at the Windmill since 1962, through the procession of owners, and this visit was the worst experience I've had. First thing I'd recommend is do not allow them to sit you table 14! I think it must rank up there with the dark side of the moon or area 51. We received water and the proverbial tray of veggies pretty quick, waited a while for the fried oyster appetizer and did not get our chicken Alfredo and 7oz filet Mignon until one hour and ten minutes into our dining experience. First off, the server suggested her favorite wine, a sweet white local to go with filet. She didn't seem to know much about the reds. There were 8 oysters on the appetizer dish but a lemon wedge and sauce for about six at the most. The filet was cool, mushy (had no texture - course the menu says it is tender but soft?), and almost tasteless. I guess that is why the server asked me if I'd like Heinz 57 or some other steak sauce - on a filet?!! I'd ordered the Caesar salad and instead got a green salad.....I think it must have been the table 14 syndrome or something.....terrible dinner, bad service. Not sure I ever need to go back.

“best steak in Washington state, yes I am counting Metropolitan in Seattle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2013

I am getting so old that I forgot that I had reviewed this wonderful place already! This place is an establishment. The history is important. The original owners sold it to the PREVIOUS owners who took a place you had to stand in line to eat at and got rid of the lineup. THe new owner is fighting the bad reviews. It is not made easier by His inability to get the pictures of the PREVIOUS owners off the pAge you see on Tripadvisor (EDITOR PLEASE TAKE NOTE AND HELP THIS POOR GUY)

“Awesome!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2013

Haven't been home in years and all i wanted to do is eat at the Windmill. It was better than ever. Everyone was so nice and so polite with all of my questions. Worried my picky son would drive the waitress nuts, but they were so sweet to him and separated all of his food for him. The Windmill was so wonderful and for sure will try to make it home again soon to come back!! Thanks so much!!!
