Wenatchee has MANY state parks along the river. We loved this location because it is was very close to Comfort Suites Hotel, Good places to eat nearby. Winery and shopping. The park was VERY clean. and not to crowded. Will bring kids back here when we get a chance.

It was the perfect place to pull off and enjoy our lunch. A delightful table under a shade tree right on the river bank was a real welcome rest after a long morning drive. And the price could not be beat!

It's not a gorgeous park but it's clean, safe, and a good spot to chill and use as "home base" for camping. It has great playgrounds, swimming area in river (cold), and a phenomenal cement 10-mile walking/biking loop trail. Arby's, Taco del Mar, theater, and grocery store are 1/2 mile walk away. It's quiet.

If you go in the heat of the summer, make sure you have shade! This place gets hot! The spots closer to the river give you easier access, but we just rode bikes or drove to the river hole. Bathrooms/showers by the river also. Big play area there too. Noticed a huge group site closer to river/tennis courts also. Plus more covered areas for groups to rent.

This was our first trip to this park, and we were impressed. Lots of paved walkways for biking/walking/running. You can also catch the trail the goes outside of the park too and ride all the way into the city. Tennis courts/basketball courts. Boat launch/ramp right by the swimming hole. Clean bathrooms (but half the time the hot water didn't work for showers). Green grass for relaxing in and playing games. It can also get very windy in the evening!

Fees: Firewood $5/bundle, Showers/tokens $1 for 6minutes (& half the time it didn't work). Day use $10 or use of pass/campsite stay.

Location: Very close to city of Wenatchee so the sites furthest away from the river access can hear the industrial movements & the train at night (but I never heard a whistle, it was just a low rumble). You are literally 8 minutes from Wal-Mart and between there is Arby's and a gas station. There is a Sonic just south of Wal-Mart also on 285 along with tons of other eateries/gas, etc.

We stayed for 3 nights and our kids wanted to stay longer (with friends of course). Wished we also had time w/out kids to visit the new Pybus Public Market.
