“Vast expanse of green grass and wonderful campground.”
Reviewed May 5, 2012

We stay in this campground 2 or 3 times every year. In Central Washington, there are no other campgrounds that come close to compare. The campsites have lots of separation from one another and so the park has a very un-crowded feel. The vast areas of lawn are perfect for a stroll or to lay out in the sun and listen to the birdsong. The lengthy paved river walking path goes through this park.

In our last few visits, we have noticed that the areas of the park outside the campground are being sparsely visited on sunny days when in previous years we have seen plenty of people and activity. We suspect that the state's new use-fee is the culprit. I will reserve commentary on my observations of the State's wisdom in implementing the fee at this time.

This is a lovely park and campground.

“Outstanding River Front Park”
Reviewed February 4, 2012

This Park is site where the Wenatchee River meets the Columbia RIver. In the last 30 years the whole area along the River has been turned from"the blocked area behind the Fruit Warehouses"... into one of the most truly remarkable Riverfront parks in the West.

How well you enjoy this park is directly related to the weather.
Park is at its best from May through end of September.

Parts of this park are adjacent to wet lands, so you have an excellent chanc eof seeing some amazing game birds. Bald Eagles have even been known to over fly the area.

“PEACEFUL”
Reviewed January 30, 2012

The view down the Columbia River is awesome! The Wenatchee River meets the Columbia at this site! Swimming area for the children, lots of grass to relax, picnic, or just enjoy. Usually never crowded! Motor home/camping area with a boat launch too. Just on the out skirts of Wenatchee and a huge WalMart Super Store not far away for all your picnic supplies.

“Great Park”
Reviewed January 16, 2012

We loved this park. Trails along the Columbia River for bikes and walkers are fantastic. Flower gardens prosper and are labeled. Artwork lines the pathway. The park has acres of lush green grass and a beautiful view of the surrounding hills and the river.
