So this place is still here, just under a new name, I think it's sumo now, we eat here every time we come to Wenatchee for work. It's the hi light if the trip !!!!!!! We can't wait to finish our jobs and get in here for an excellent happy hr menu! We sit in the bar but u can sit in the cook at the table place too , we actually come for just the food not the entertainment which is awesome! But we come so often, the bar suits us just fine. And a bit quicker since we don't have much time. The staff is awesome too! You must try the avocado salad. I dream about it ! Yummy yummo

I saw a new name sign and wondered if the restaurant had changed hands, as we loved the food, both the teppan and the regular Japanese menu items, Tempura, Teriyaki, Sushi and Sashimi.
Stopped in for lunch on Sunday (Lunch Specials not valid on weekends) and was pleased to learn they had changed the name only... owners and cooks the same... But they had put doors into the Teppan Dining Room, which made for a substantially more quiet atmosphere...
My wife had the vegetable yakisobe and I had the Shrimp Tempura Entrée, with soup, salad and rice...
Very Good...
we also had the Gyoza appetizer, in lieu of our usual maguro sushi....also very good....
So glad to find out this is the same place with a new name!!

The Place is GONE and now something else...JUST an FYI...In case you look here first. It WAS for the experience not the food so much.

Chef was great (albeit, Mexican, not Asian, but that's ok). Wish I would have ordered the Shrimp Tampura as a meal instead of just as an appetizer, it was delicious!
The soup was too watery.
Portions of vegetables served were VERY small (and no mushrooms, no bean sprouts). Think I got two small bits of onion and a few other veggies. But the protein portions were good sized...go figure.
And oh, our table was SO cold except when the actual cooking was being done. We keep our ski parkas on the whole time. We talked to the waitress about and she said it would warm up when the cooking started, it did. But when the cooking stopped, it was freezing again.
The service was excellent.

We've eaten here twice, and while the Hibachi experience is entertaining, what ends up on your plate is basically an average stir fry better made at home. The sushi I had was truly mediocre, especially the rolls made with mashed up fish (oddly featured in the photo!). Much better sushi can be had elsewhere in Wenatchee...
