“Very disappointing”

Owner description: Mission Ridge is in the heart of Washington State where the jagged peaks of the Cascade Range meet the high rugged desert of eastern Washington. A volcanic past has created a ridge where snowcapped peaks shimmer on one side and the Columbia River rolls majestically through eastern Washington on the other. But don’t let the view distract you, Mission Ridge has over 2000 acres to explore. Carve tree lined groomers, float through wide open bowls, wiggle through glades or scream down narrow chutes. Now throw in tons of sunshine, heaps of dry snow, and reams of velvety corduroy and you have Washington’s most distinctive winter playground. Make us your Mission this season.

No terrain park on opening day. Very disappointed due to that fact I drove from Seattle just to be disappointed. Also very upset about the fact mission ridge non-ski racing events are usually snowboarders only, such as the banked slalom and the "huck yourself" rail jam. No longer buying a pass to Mission ridge, from now on I'll be skiing at Stevens pass.

Sorry to disappoint you. We tried to clearly list on our website that the park wouldn't be open. We just don't have enough snow yet in the park to open it. It will be open next weekend!

Mission Ridge is where I wish I had learned to ski. Great ski school and no real lines so you get lots of turns in during the day while the kids are being taught by great instructors. Just dress them warm (layers) because it can be cold! The other great thing is that all the runs lead to a relatively small base area, so you won't have trouble finding your kids and lunch or the end of the day. MR has a variety of terrain, and some of the best, if not the best, groomers I have ever skied. However, the off-piste terrain is even better. You can find powder stashes for days with a little bit of hiking, and because the mountain stays cold, particularly on the top, the snow stays light and fluffy compared to someplace like Stevens Pass. Views from the top are incredible, and the whole place has a nice laid back feel. It may be cloudy down in Wenatchee, but there's a good chance it's nothing but sun at Mission Ridge!

I skied Mission for the first time at the end of the 2012/13 season, it was such a positive experience in every way, great runs, happy and helpful staff, great lodge and restaurant, short drive from Wenatchee and (NO RAIN). Its well worth the drive from Seattle to the point that I bought a season pass for this up coming season. Think Snow!!!!!!!!!!

The ski/board runs are really fun, but most of them are at least intermediate level. When we were there it was a little icy, so if you fell down you slid. There is a run that starts at the very top and the views are incredible! The sky is beautiful and there were trees that had branches that were blown and frozen sideways. It is worth taking your gloves off to get your phone and take a picture.
