I have on several occasions while staying at Best Westerns not been able to use the television. I have not encountered this at any other hotels. Nothing is more frustrating as after a long day of work settling down to watch your favorite show and not being able to change channels, or in most cases not being able to use the remote at all, even after getting a replacement. The desk staff act like - oh well!!

Dear Esse V,

Thank you for taking the time in sharing your experience with the Best Western Chieftain Inn.

On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations.

We recently went through a change with our cable television provider. This was a sudden change for us as they did not give us ample time to prepare for the changes.

It is from my understanding that the front desk did try to help you out in your situation. Only minutes after you did check out, we did get the television to work. I'm sorry it wasn't done in a speedy manor but we did try our best and only wish that you could of just waited a few to enjoy our television.

Again, I sincerely apologize.

I do wish you safe travels. Take care!

Sincerely,
Mei-lan

Poor quality for the cost to stay there. They have a corner on the market with limit rooms in that area. High tourist area so they figure they can charge high dollars for what is an 89.00 a night room. Buy beware.

We have stayed here many times over the years and like the central location, as it is walking distance to restaurants and shopping, and the reliability of this hotel. It is always very clean, with fresh sheets and ample room space although overall the hotel is a bit dated. The breakfast they provide has enough variety for all, and their coffee is wonderful! Fresh baked cookies in the evening too. Just a few things keep me from giving them higher marks- the heating/ac unit in every room we have ever stayed in (and all our friends we travel with report the same thing) cycle on and off CONSTANTLY in 2-3 minute cycles. We could not get a decent nights sleep as the room temperature could not be maintained and the fan going on and off. They need to update them- I like fresh air circulating as Wenatchee is hot in the spring and summer and the room gets stuffy fast if the fan doesn't run. I think the units need updating as there is no circulate, just hot or cold.
In addition, the staff during the day tends to be cranky, and they clearly don't want you to use the pool. We were there with our over age 50 softball team- booked 9 rooms and we hung out at the pool after the games were over. The staff came out every 20-30 minutes and glared at us, sometimes 2-3 at a time! We weren't running, jumping, screaming or playing loud music and it was 3 in the afternoon. Not sure what that was about. But, overall, we keep coming back as it is reliable, clean and comfortable. I have paid a lot more for a lot less, so we will be back.

We needed a handicap accessible room and another room nearby. The accessible room was extremely far away from front desk area, with long hallways and incline/decline in the walk. Very difficult for an elderly person who struggles with walking. In addition, the breakfast area is near the front desk, so getting back there in the morning was very difficult. I actually took my mother outside and walked thru the level parking lot to get back to the front door to have breakfast in the morning. The extra room we had had very bad odor. And lastly, the hours of the fitness center were terrible. It didn't open until 9am. We were checking out at 7 so totally not usable. I would not recommend this facility!
