We frequent the Coast Wenatchee -- LOVE the staff, love the River Top Grill, LOVE the pet friendly environment -- GREAT location (and close to all the cute shops, eateries, etc...!) -- always clean, fresh coffee in the lobby and a nice fire going in the winter -- so welcoming to arrive *home* the this hotel every time...! A true *home away from home*...!

Room Tip: We always stay in a pet friendly room -- it's perfect for our doggy -- we LOVE it!

For the record, we have no affiliation with the Coast Hotel and are NOT giving this review at anyone's request.
The Pros:
Being 60 year-olds, we've been around. ; ) And we wanted to do something a little different than fight the crowds, traffic and prices in Seattle during New Year's. So, we took our money to Wenatchee for a 3-day, 2-night discovery. Several hotels offered a special Mission Ridge ski package which included a lift ticket/guest/night ($50 value each) plus a shuttle bus to and from the ski area. But the Coast Hotel was within "crawling distance" of some cool spots downtown, and within easy walking to the Pybus Market, Riverside Trail, fun shops and bars/restaurants, PLUS the breakfast entrees were included!. We also knew that the Coast Hotel was an older hotel that had been updated. SOLD!!!!!
We enjoyed a leisurely drive to Wenatchee and were pleasantly surprised by the ample parking, nice entry and lobby. The staff was busy but efficient and friendly. We asked to have our reserved room be on the eastern/river side and without any hesitation were given room 725. We choose from one of the three quiet elevators (with windows to the outside view!) and zoomed up to our king room. The hallways were clean, had newer carpeting and paint, and were well lit. The door opened to an inviting room complete with a 32-inch flat screen (lots of college bowl games to be seen). The room had newer carpeting and paint and the bathroom was tastefully updated with new tile. A small refrig was located under the bathroom vanity. The bed was comfortable with many pillows.
The view to the east from our room was across a couple of blocks, then four RR tracks, the Riverfront Trail, the Columbia River, and East Wenatchee. The building seemed to be very well-constructed, as one can tell when walking down the hallway: no vibrations underfoot from us or others that passed by the room. The ice machine and soda machine was just two doors away from us. Never heard 'em. We rarely heard any of the others guests, water running or noise from the Rooftop Grill two floors above us (more on the Grill below) or even the passing trains. So, we got great nights of sleep!
The Rooftop Grill has a great view in either direction, plus there's an open gas fireplace in the restaurant. Nice! The bar appetizers were great (especially the shrimp and the chicken quesedia). Leta, our server in the bar was excellent, and reminded us that the house wine is 14 Hands (a good value). Breakfast entrees on our package were "free", had ample portions (unless you're from the mid-west) and offered a good variety. Casual ambiance but good, reminding us a bit of a ski lodge.
The cons: no shower caps, nor a fan, in the bathroom.
Did not apply: didn't do room service, but went to the Ridgetop Grill one morning and carried two glasses of juice to the room. The hotel has two swimming pools and two hot tubs, one set indoors and one set outdoors. Small swimmers that we met in the elevator pronounced the water a little cool and tasting like chlorine.
SUMMARY: This ain't the Four Seasons and it's not in the big city . . . . but I have a hard time identifying with the negative reviews. We had a FUN time and would stay here again, especially during ski season!
We rate it 4.5 stars.

We stayed here when we came down to see the festival at Leavenworth. The location is great, very easy to find, however we had problems finding a parking space due to a Christmas party being held in the restaurant above. The hotel clerks advised that if we couldn't find one they offer a shuttle service to wherever we could find parking offsite-which is a nice service-however I don't know about you, but when I get to a hotel where I have a room booked, I don't think it's out of line to expect to park there! The room was one of the more expensive ones in the area, with no continental breakfast. We were quite surprised when we arrived, as our room was small, in need of some major repairs, and there is no fan in the bathroom! A small detail, but tell me that when someone goes #2 and your room stinks all night! The place needs an update, old, tired cushions and broken lampshades in the lobby take away from what could be a quite beautiful space. It was clean however, and that is most important. The front desk girls were very friendly and cheerful and handled a busy lobby with ease. Don't waste your time with the insure rooftop restaurant, our waitress was rude, there is no drink list(???) and the menu is limited. Bottom line- poor value for your money. $200 a night can get you a lot more somewhere else that includes breakfast.

You really can't beat the location of this hotel in Wenatchee. Easy walk to all downtown restaurants, shopping and Pybus Market; not to mention the convention center, civic center and ice arena. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Rooms are comfortable. Restaurant/bar on top floor has outstanding views in all directions. I believe that staying here did add to the enjoyment of our visit and let us see and experience more of this great town than we might have otherwise.

Upon arrival, the hotel had a beautiful presentation. The staff was friendly enough, but we were not given the room we booked. I have a three month old and I booked a king room, but was given 2 queen beds instead. We co-sleep so putting all three of us in one bed was very uncomfortable. We have a king at home, so coming to a hotel (which should seem like a vacation) was actually a downgrade from what we are used to. If I would have know there were only queen beds available, I would have booked elsewhere...it was that much of a deal-breaker for us. The front desk was notified, but unfortunately for us, they didn't move us into another room. Breakfast was delicious though! And the pool area is really appealing and open.
