We stay at this hotel every time we return to our hometown, as it is one of the nicer places to stay in Wenatchee. The staff is friendly, check-in is efficient, and the lobby is an inviting area with plenty of seating and complimentary coffee, candy, and apples. Parking seems ample; if the lot out front is full, there is a huge lot in the back of the hotel, and the lobby and rooms are accessible by a nearby door and elevator.
For us, the location is ideal as it is a short walk over to the riverfront pedestrian/biking trail which is just awesome! The hotel is close to downtown shops, too, and there is a brewpub right across one of the side streets. From the lobby, there is a skybridge to the convention center next door, which is ideal for guests who are attending events there.
Our nonsmoking room was on a high floor, overlooking the Columbia River and East Wenatchee. We have always found that the hotel honors our requests for this type of room.
In the past, we have had some problems w/ the restaurant--both breakfast and dinner--so this time we ate outside of the premises. We will leave it to other reviewers to make notations about their meals in the hotel.
The room was clean, average size, and the bathroom had a separate sink area from the toilet/shower area. The lighting in the room, and esp. the shower area, was dimmer than we would have liked, but we weren't in the room much. The location of the sink area in the room might be a problem for those people who do not get up at the same time. There is no door between it and the room, and lighting and noise might disturb others.
Our only complaint with the rooms we have had is that the walls are paper-thin (prob. originates w/ construction). Each time we visit, room conversations and TV noise are easily heard from other nearby rooms. Fortunately, the noises did not go on long into the night, so it is tolerable.
Visiting sports teams tend to use this hotel a lot, and quite frankly, when we see them, we are nervous about problematic noise during our stay. We have yet to encounter a problem, though, so we appreciate the hotel's efforts to maintain the quiet rules (plus the parent monitors must be doing a great job!).
We find this hotel works well for us, and we will undoubtedly stay here again.
