I love this place!! What a fun stop as we were in exploring Vashon Island and trying to find all of it’s treasures and charm. The Burton Coffee Stand is both. A community treasure and a hut with charm. This is s must stop when you are on the island, great coffee and treats.

Savory or sweet coffee and scones on Sunday are a must do stop. Everyone is so friendly and hangs out as they enjoy the day. Get there early- they sell out fast.

This part of the island is underserved by restaurants and coffee stands, so it stands to reason that any place that served hot coffee on the side of the highway around here would be well-attended. In short, this coffee stand is waaaaaay better than it needs to be. Our group of six had a coffee order that required hot drinks prepared a number of different ways - and the barista aced it each time. Mine was called "Vashon Fog" (?) or something: Earl Grey Tea with Almond Milk and a shot of vanilla -- it was shockingly good. The pastries available are local, home-baked on the island. I recommend the buttery almond cake -- apparently it's the local favorite, never off the menu. We came back 3 times in 3 days.
