“So fun!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2013

I was so happy with our trip to the Ginkgo petrified forest and interpretive center. There were many large pieces of petrified wood at the int. center that we could feel and take pictures of, the dinosaurs were fun to take pictures with, and the little store had so many amazing rocks and the owners were very knowledgeable. My kids all picked pieces of petrified wood we bought and brought home. We live in Everett and drove 1 hour from our cabin to visit, it was a lovely drive and this time of year was a perfect time to go, as it wasnt too hot, as it usually is in the summer.
Vantiage only has one restaurant though, it was a little hamburger place, it was good food, but we waited in line forever, just to order, then waited forever to get our food. Though I guess thats what you do, when there is no where else to eat.

“Awesome Prehistory”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2012

This was a great display of the petrified wood from the forests that used to be in the area. There are also a couple amazing petroglyph panels created by Native Americans with the remainder of them lost beneath the lake behind Wanapum Dam.
