“Open space with a fabulous view”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

As non-golfers, my family has come to appreciate this unique gem on Puget Sound. Although the centerpiece is the county-owned golf course, the site of the 2015 US Open, there are numerous attractions around it for non-golfers. A 3-mile paved trail circles the golf course and provides a great up and down workout with awesome vistas. An expansive lawn provides space for kite flying, frisbee throwing and picnics. Our favorite feature is the long waterfront, including a sandy beach, accessible by footbridge and a short hike.

“Challenging Course but Beautiful”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

You know this course is going to be hard if it's hosting the 2015 US Open. It's quite expensive but both times I have played I have been in a tournament so it's been far less expensive. It is also great for exercise as you do a lot of walking up hill and down hill. My husband loves this course but this is not for a beginner golfer. The restaurant is also delicous and offers a great happy hour!

“So gorgeous, So relaxing!”
Reviewed August 29, 2012 via mobile

Excellent walking/jogging paths, exhilirating fresh air off the Puget Sound, and of course (excuse the pun) championship golf course make this one of the best reasons to enjoy this amazing recreational area.  Do yourself a favor and pay it a visit.  Best of all it's free!

“More than Golf”
Reviewed July 10, 2012

The Chambers Bay recreation complex is amazing. Beach, rec areas, and the golf course will be the site of the 2015 U.S. Open. We played a round at the course and it was amazing. It is a links style course so it felt like we were playing in Scotland or Ireland. We also ate at the restaurant at the course. Excellent food. If you want an appetizer try the flat bread ones. Superb and very reasonable priced.
