This place looks like an upscale resort until you stay there and realize that it is 1) overrun by dogs and 2) noisy due to frequent wedding parties. My family will not stay there again. This is disappointing because the location right on the water is beautiful and we had looked forward to a relaxing stay in lovely surroundings. The biggest problem is that the resort allows dogs to stay in every room. Every room. Not just a few select rooms specifically set aside for pets. So, if you're allergic to dogs or just don't want to stay in a room where animals have been all over the bed, chairs and carpet, this is not the place for you. Also, the outdoor furniture, lounges, etc, were spotted and had dog fur on them. Pretty disgusting. Add to this the weddings that can take up most of the outdoor common area, and bottom line, in our opinion this is not an upscale or luxurious place to stay.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- Walking hand in hand, you see an eagle soar overhead. You stop to skip stones across the water. Four, five, six skips. A perfect moment suspended in time. A story for dinner. This is the place where memories are made, where families come back year after year. Like having your own waterfront cottage, only better. Cartwheels on the grass. A game of badminton at sunset. Leather couches and a glass of Washington state Syrah. The sweet succulent bite of fresh oysters. Rooms that make you say “wow” when you open the door. Can this hotel be only two hours from Seattle? It can. Welcome to Alderbrook Resort & Spa. ... more less
