We found this deal on Amazon local and the resort was absolutely beautiful. I asked for a room upgrade and they were extremely accommodating. The room was spotless and the view was awesome! We asked for a couple additional items from the front desk and they were prompt. We played golf and the course was spectacular! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great local getaway and will definitely be returning.

I have to say this place is as close to perfect. After a 4 hour drive I arrived at a sprawling but cozy resort. The staff are excellent; knowledgable of the resort and caring. After checking into my "spa like" room I when for a hike / run. Then explored the resort marina, fire pit and fitness room. My group ate out for dinner, but my breakfast the next day was delicious. There is lots to do at Alderbrook, or you can do simply nothing and relax. The view is calming and meditative. I will be back for sure!

We stayed here on a weekday for our 20th anniversary and it was a wonderful getaway! We stayed on the 4th floor waterfront view room and was very impressed. We purchased the "spring special" online and saved quite a bit off the room price so look at the web for their discounts to save. The dock is a few steps right from the rooms and there is rentals there of kayaks/paddle boats etc. Also there are cruises from there. The pool is indoors with big glass windows so it looks like your swimming right next to hood canal. Yes, the restaurant is pricey but the food was wonderful. At night we saved some money by eating in the bar...they have happy hour specials earlier in the evening (3-5) where even the bar food is discounted. Our server, Alicia, was super knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. There is a gas station about 5 minutes away with a convenience store inside which is where we purchased drinks and snacks since they are expensive at the hotel. All the hotel staff we encountered was helpful and friendly. We plan to go back and bring the family. Its just a beautiful atmosphere. Thanks so much!!!

First anniversary overnight without kids in several years. Beautiful setting. Walking into the lobby/lodge was awesome. It felt like we were further away from home than we really were. Very friendly staff and quick and easy check-in process. Loved our room and the walkout patio to the central grassy area. Two brownies with a personally signed "Happy Anniversary" card was a very special touch. Relaxing on wooden chaise lounges set out on the grass overlooking the Hood Canal at sunset was awesome. Later in the evening saw some people making smores at one of the outdoor woodburning fire pits. This place is more than just a nice hotel on the water. It's a retreat! While we stayed only one night, it was just what we needed. Wish we could've stayed longer. The only downside is the restaurant menu prices are pretty spendy. And there's only one other dining option nearby from what I was told. Fortunately, the lounge had a happy hour menu with more reasonable prices. It really was nice to stay and eat at the resort instead of getting in the car to drive somewhere. The food was all great. I even went out of my comfort zone and spent $20 on the Oyster Rock omelette for breakfast (fried oysters, bacon, cheese, spinach, hollandaise). Mmmm. It was worth the splurge to celebrate our anniversary. We'll be back!

We stayed on the 4th floor corner corner room. An awesome view of Hood Canal and the hotel grounds. The service was great, the room was great, all of the amenities also. Be prepared to shell out some money though. $300 for the room. We were there for a wedding. We also enjoyed a sunday Easter brunch with 20 wedding guests on the party boat moored there. Check closely when you check in and out. The reservation people made a mistake and tried to charge us for an extra night. I checked excellent for location because we wanted to be at a remote Hood Canal resort with a view. There is plenty to do at the resort, but the location is not good if you are looking for stuff to do near by.

Room Tip: 4th floor corner room for the best view

We had a work event here and I was super impressed by this place. Amazing views from the rooms and the rooms are very nice. This ain't your typical kinda place. We did the dinner cruise and the views and food were amazing! If you can have good food on a boat - that's impressive!
