Understanding that Twisp is a very small town, we didn't expect to find a truly outstanding restaurant for dinner....but we did find Tappis Italian restaurant.
It was NOT an outstanding restaurant, but, other than taverns, it was really the only option for dinner. It's a quaint little restaurant with the owner cooking by himself at an open fire oven. Everything is prepared right then and there by the owner, and you can't get fresher than that.
The menu is understandably very restricted for an Italian restaurant, but the food, while not memorable, was very good.....but for 5 star prices.
We would definitely go to Tappis again, just not with great expectations, and we will be ready for price shock. Nice folks working there. Pleasant in all regards.
