Stayed here May of 2013 & I have procrastinated way to long about commenting on this place & the staff. Living in Hawaii but we visit home (Okanogan/Methow) & are truly thankful we stayed here. Joe is THE HOST. Great guy & staff is the best. We'll be there this May too.

Just returned from our first 3 night stay at Twisp River Suites (TRS) in a King Suite. Joe, the owner, and his entire staff are a welcoming presence. They leave no detail uncared for or unaddressed. The room was spotless, well designed and larger than expected with a well appointed kitchen, comfy living room and two TVs. After a day of great skiing in Mazama we enjoyed our locally sourced wine and cheese by the fireplace while watching the snow fall on the Twisp River. Local restaurants and cafes are an easy stroll from TRS but you needed look much further than the pub next door. The breakfast at TRS is more than you get most places and much of it is homemade but you might want to leave room for a treat from Cinnamon Twisp, the local bakery down the street. The TRS team really goes all out to make sure you have a terrific experience, and you will. Yes, you will. We are already planning our next visit.

We called in the evening of our arrival that we'll arrive very late. As my boyfriend hang up the phone, he said that there are no problems with late arrivals at all and that the man he talked to was proBably the nicest person he ever talked to. The suites feel much much better than home, the breakfast is a mix between homemade quiches, fresh fruits and yoghurt, cerials and the best coffee in 150 mi. We loved to stay here for our cross-country-skiing weekend. And for me coming originaly from Germay the Breakfasts home made salmon spread was the best! ;)

excellent place to stay in Twisp. Cant really express how great these rooms are, and very reasonable. Show up Wednesday for their awesome dinner and music. Excellent for business travelers, They also have a place across the street that lets you bring pets. Right in town, close to other pubs, etc. I hope they let us come back!

We stayed in a a suite with adjacent queen size room----great furnishings, great kitchen, great hosts! Our son and daughter-in-law stayed in a pet-friendly room with our grand-dog, which was perfect for them. Joe and Misty did everything to make our stay enjoyable. We highly recommend Twisp River Suites, and will be visiting again very soon.

I have stayed at Twisp River Suites four times now. Three times with girlfriends and this last time with my husband who was also impressed. It's a very special place and Joe and his staff make staying there even more comfortable. Everything is top notch at Twisp River Suites and the location is perfect. I recommend this hotel to everyone and will be back with more friends. You won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: All rooms are great.

We have wanted to spend time in the Methow Valley area hiking and snowshoeing, but had difficulty finding a place to stay that would allow our two dogs to join us. Twisp River Suites offered three good sized rooms with individual fenced dog areas and a full-sized, common kitchen (with Washer/Dryer) that met our vacation needs. The rooms were clean and well appointed for us and for our two mid-sized dogs. There is a park within two blocks and a short dog trail behind the hotel by the river that made walking the dogs convenient. Joe and his staff were very helpful and provided an excellent breakfast and prompt service. The hotel is located about ten minutes from Winthrop, and about 25 minutes from the Mazama Store. Two positive items to note: trail passes for the 120 miles of Methow Valley Trail System are available at the front desk, and the hotel serves the locally roasted Blue Star coffee. Also, the Twisp River Pub and an excellent Mexican restaurant are located within a few yards of the hotel. If you are looking for a good dog hiking, x-country skiing, or snowshoeing trail, the Big Valley Trail off Hwy 20 / Dripping Springs Rd just north of Winthrop is about a fifteen minute drive from the Hotel. The trail consists of two loops, one 4.5 KM and one 3.5 KM. The entire trek equals about 4.8 miles and is flat, wide, and meanders through an aspen grove to the Methow river where one could easily fish.
