“Excellent food, I wish Old Schoolhouse supplied the beer (sigh)”

We've always had really good meals here. The regular fare, sandwiches, pasta, salads are consistently great, and the service is attentive. The daily specials are also great. And, since we've usually biked, hiked or skied when we come in, we really appreciate the ample portions.

My only quibble is...the beer. The porter and stout are the best, but they seem to be out of the special beers about half the time (it would be a good idea to remove them from the board, so people don't ask or get false hopes). The other beers are bland, and I avoid them. The guest tap is often good (sometimes from Anacortes). We often start in Winthrop and have a pint at OSB, then go down to Twisp for dinner.

We'll definitely be back often to the Twisp Pub, but, I'm hoping sometime we can give them the fifth start.

Twisp River Pub has great service and a menu with allergy friendly menu. The kitchen totally catered to my "high maintenance" food requirements PLUS it tasted great. The waitress didn't even seem to mind and food came quick, correct and hot. Four different visits for both lunch and dinner have proven consistent service, food and no-mistakes! Yum.

This restaurant was absolutely delightful in terms of great food, lovely setting (particularly on a hot summer day) and the surprise of experiencing such great cuisine in a small Eastern Washington town. If you're adventuring on the eastern side of the Cascade Mountains in Washington State...don't miss this.

Addendum: Don't miss out on the unique and delicious Margarita's!!

We ate here while on vacation. We had breakfast on 10/14/2012 (they only serve this on Sunday's though). Waitress was unimpressive. One of the rudest I have ever had. Other employees seemed friendly, it was just one particular one that was ill tempered. We did wait for 45 minutes for our order though - pretty excessive.

Food was good, not great though. No pancakes and no sugar free syrup (sucks if you are diabetic). No turkey bacon or sausage. Beef and pork happy place. Which is fine, but variety is nice too.

Very packed in the evenings, but didn't eat at that time. I would anticipate a wait though.
