We were on a Crystal cruise and did a bus tour of Mount St Helen's. the tour stopped us at Ecopark for a catered lunch. It was very good with large portions. Friendly owner and service. It is a private place so I don't know if they have walk ins. Id recommend tour companies to use this place. It is right on the drive to the mountain.

We arrived at Eco Park hungry and left the same way. The menu was the usual lunch/dinner fare. I had the Loggers Stew. Nothing special, meat, potatoes, and carrots in a soup bowl along with a small dinner salad for $11.95!! My wife had the cheeseburger, a small thin patty on a small bun along with the same small salad for $10.95!! With soft drinks and tax I made it out of there for only $27.00!! In their defense, the quality of the food was good and the atmosphere of the park was great, but in terms of value it's worth about half the price their charging.
My recommendation...bring your own food or your credit card!!

I beg to differ with a review on this page. The Backwoods cafe has yummy homemade goodies. The owner Mark makes all the pies. They are made from scratch daily. Everything they have at the cafe is homemade daily. There is no delivery service from some brand named wholesale food service. All the supplies/groceries are hand picked by Dawn.
Dawn made the best chicken and dumplings when we were there this past weekend. The best I've ever had. (Sorry Mom if you read my review!) So...if you get to Mt St Helens and you must stop at the Backwoods cafe for any meal. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner and everything was exceptional. Don't forget to try the PIE! To die for!

We stayed at Eco Park for a night and ate dinner here. Mark is an amazing chef, James was a very polite and efficient waiter. We got to hear stories about the history of the area after dinner from Mark and it was a very worthwhile listening. We were the only ones staying there that night so it was very personal. Cheeseburger was amazing! definitely stop here to stay or eat - you won't be disappointed!

Decided to drive from Portland, OR to see Mount St. Helens. Read the reviews on this place so we drove hungry until we got to this place. Food did not disappoint! Bacon cheeseburger, Logger's stew in a bread bowl and grilled cheese sandwich for our 2 boys (ages 1 & 3). The food was eagerly and blissfully consumed. Not only did they provide great food, but our server, was also monitoring the weather to let us know what the weather conditions were up the mountain. He also shared his story about living in area when Mount St. Helens erupted in 1980 and in 2005.

We are definitely coming back when the weather is nicer and we can see the volcano.
