This is by far the best place to have a couple Hot dogs and beer. They have many to select from and something new is always on tap. They have a variety of ciders to drink also. The hot dogs are always fresh and made as ordered right in front of you. Very friendly staff. It's a little whole in the wall but this is what makes this place so special!!! Also you can't beat the prices here, all in all you can't go wrong at Red Hot!! And if you don't like beer or cider take it back old school with a good ol' RC Cola.

Love the Red Hot, great place for lunch or an evening out for a drink. The hot dogs are very unique, yet simple and not overpriced. The beer selection is on point, many local beers as well! The staff has always been friendly and the food comes quickly. The only real downside is the space is rather small, so it's hard to go with a group of more than four.

LOVED the Italian Beef here, but alas, no more. Haven't been back since they dropped it off the menu. The Tacoma is a good sub in for a solid Chicago dog.

Loved the wide choice of dogs and local on tap beers. The prices were very reasonable and the service was spot on. Please, please, please try the Ruston Ragin Cagun (andouille sausage, onions, bbq sauce, special sauce $4) with cream cheese instead of slaw. Epic creation!

If you are looking for fancy, formal, or pretentious, go somewhere else. If you like a great hot dog, fresh draught beer, and entertaining decor at a good price come here! I know we will be back.

(Note that it is 21 and over only, which can be a good thing when mom & dad need a break!)

I see a review for The Red Hot that is titled Rude Staff. This guy obviously frequents places that have table service and multiple servers working. This is a family owned and operated joint with a lot of local color and all the attitude that goes along with it.

It's rare that this place isn't slammin' busy but it is worth the wait. They have a very clear focus on the decisions they make. Find local producer and support them. If it's not local it's craft. The beer is a blend of uniquely original craft beer and highly sought after imports. The hot dogs are the perfect blend of juicy inside and snappy casings on the outside. The majority of the toppings are made by the family or from the local farmers market style store Tacoma Boys.

I would give it a higher rating but I am biased by my business dealings with them. The staff however is great and the level of civic pride they exude is what makes this a Tacoma original.
