What a place! From the outside it doesn't look the best, but when you step inside, it is filled with people from all walks of life. The menu is small, but the food makes up for it. You could order an item & 2 people could share. The food is very good, their clam chowder is to die for. We have been there for breakfast & lunch, not a dissappointing thing to say. They just started opening for dinner, but we have not been there yet for dinner. We will be going soon. This is a business that has been passed down from generation to generation. It is owned by the Carr family, of Old Town Tacoma. They also own the tavern next door, & The Carr's Restaurant in Lakewood WA.

There is nothing pretentious about Marcia's Silver Spoon Cafe. They serve large portions of straightforward, down-home food. Last week I had a club sandwich with so much bacon and turkey that I had to deconstruct it to eat it. Others at the table had good-looking salads. My group – ranging in age from our mid 50s and early 60s – at one point thought we would be the youngest folks in the place, but a savvy lunch crowd made us look our age.
This isn't gourmet dining, but it will fill you up at a reasonable price.
