“Great Location”

Stopped in for Breakfast//eggs and toast..restaurant not all that clean ..casual and coffee shop atmosphere. Eggs scrambled dry and the only choice for toast was whole wheat..but I needed food and this restaurant was available..did see locals ordering sandwiches to go for their lunch and would try this again ....

“Fantastic place for lunch near sights”
Reviewed April 11, 2011

A Renaissance Cafe is fantastic. Hands down, some of the best BBQ in the Northwest. The quaint friendly atmosphere after a morning at the Museum of Glass was a nice change of pace. I also love that all sandwiches came with chips and a cookie (which, but the way, was warm and delicious). Really, you can't go wrong here and I am shocked that it is not ranked in the top 5 for restaurants in Tacoma. Try it!

“Friendly owner creates perfect breakfast & lunch cafe environment.”
Reviewed January 27, 2011

Ecclectic and colorful decoration with psychadellic, black-light posters in the bathroom.

Owner Keith works 80 hrs/week to take care of this shop. He treats the cafe like it is his home, warmly welcoming all customers. He's a jokester (take, for example, a sign on the wall that reads 'we reserve the right to confuse service to anyone). Plus, Keith is excited about life in general.

Within five minutes of me being there, I was behind the counter, where he demonstrated his unique manner of steaming eggs instead of scrambling them. Very delicious, light, and fluffy!

“Home made food and funky atmosphere”
Reviewed August 22, 2010

For lunch or a snack after visiting the Washington State History Museum or Museum of Glass, go across Pacific Avenue to A Renaissance Café, opposite Union Station. Great homemade soups, sandwiches and cakes and a relaxing atmosphere with unique and interesting art and stuff to look at. Date of our visit: 12th August 2010. Address is 1746 Pacific Avenue Tacoma WA, www.ARenaissanceCafe.com Tel (253) 572 1029
