“Over The Moon is Over The Top”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

If you are looking for an eclectic experience, try the Over The Moon Cafe. The dining room was cozy with funky furniture. Loved the old books on the tables. Perfect for a quiet dinner. We enjoyed our entree selections - Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese and the slow cooked chicken ragu red wine sauce with garlic, oregano and thyme, over rigatoni. Both were delicious; portions were generous. We tried the Banana Cream Pie for dessert, which was more of a pudding - it was quite rich and large enough to share. The service was attentive and friendly. We would definitely return when in Tacoma.

“BEST MEAL OUT IN A VERY VERY LONG TIME”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

A little out of the way, but well worth the effort to find it. The entire staff was very cordial and friendly. We had the crab cakes for starters. Then on to soup and salad, both were very good. But, the bleu cheese/balsamic flat iron steak was the best. Paired up with a Argentinian Malbec red wine, it was most amazing. We will definitely be back.

“Very Good Entrees and Service”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

Decor of Over the Moon is sort of funky with black table cloths and napkins, bead lamps, bare brick, and earthquake reinforcement bars. Service was attentive. Very good cheese bread was served. The restaurant had a nice selection of wines in the $30-$40 range, but there was no liquor. The reverse of many restaurants, we were disappointed by the appetizers and pleased with the entrees. The selection for a meat and cheese platter was amateurish and there was nothing house-made. Wild rice and crab cakes were uninteresting. However both Tuscan chicken and shrimp with linguine had rich mixes of flavor which we thoroughly enjoyed. We'll go back, but probably will only order the main courses.

“Quaint, Quirky, Romantic and Deelish!”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

This restaurant tucked in an alley is so different and so wonderful all at the same time! There was only waitress when we were there celebrating our anniversary last night, but she was gracious, sweet and the service was excellent. The duck breast was beyond good, my hubs had tuscany chicken and loved every morsel...Topped off with their banana cream pie with chocolate sauce. A spectacular meal!
