Righteous clam chowder, fabulous crab cakes, beefy bleu baron sandwich, wonderful fries, attentive & professional service. To be that busy at 1:30 pm on a Wednesday attests to their popularity with locals.

We went for an early dinner and sat on the patio overlooking the marina. The service was very good but the cranberry/vodka drink was too strong I thought but it turns out the cranberry juice was too weak so the drink was a bust. I had no complaints of the food, it was well presented and cooked to perfection.. I had the captains platter which was NOT deep fried which was a very good bonus and the only way I would order seafood. The Salmon was delicious and standing with the craft of the kitchen prepared to perfection. I would love to go back.

I'm 70 years young and experienced my first prom night at the original Johnny's Dock which burned to the ground many years ago and was replaced with the existing restaurant located on a busy waterway downtown Tacoma. This area has enjoyed a renaissance and is bustling with people living life to the fullest. Your waterfront view includes the striking Chihuly Museum of Glass, countless boats of every description, moored below the windows you are sitting at and some amazing architecture.
This is the home of the biggest most wonderful hot fudge Sunday you ever shared with your
bestest friend. The French dip sandwich is so full of tender meat you can barely get your mouth around it. Johnny's sells their famous aujous and seasonings at the hostess desk. I recommend their seasoning salt. These salts make wonderful gifts for your friends and family back home.

This restaurant serves steak and seafood. I had a seafood dish which was very good from the twilight menu (early dinner at reduced prices). Services was great and the waiting staff was very attentive. This restaurant is famous for their seasonings that are sold in groceries stores. They have a great waterfront view of the marina and bay. A definite recommend.

Johnny's Dock offers views of the boats and waterway. It's a very nice spot, although for non-Tacoma natives, a bit difficult to find. The restaurant is in need of a good update. It still has the 1970s look and feel. We went for lunch and the food was average at best. The bread basket came with cold, buttered pieces of French bread. The clam chowder was "o.k.". The lettuce on the salad was room temperature. And service was a bit slow. I don't think we'll be returning any time soon.
