A group of 4 co-workers went to this location after work as we were staying at the Marriott Courtyard Downtown and wanted to walk and had burned out on only seafood so we thought we would give El Toro a try. The place was clean and the service was very good. We were lucky enough to have gotten there during Happy Hour and ordered beers and Margarita's. The Margarita's were very good (not too sweet like some places serve) and there were some very reasonable and even cheap items on the bar menu (Happy Hour was in bar area only but there were tables in bar as well). I ordered three items thinking they would be small and they were full size! Taco, Enchilada and Burritto.. Of course could not eat it all. The table shared some appetizers (two types of shrimp) and they really liked those as well.
The chips and salsa were good and we were offered more after we ate the entire basket rather quickly.
For people from the southeast, this Mexican restaurant serves yellow cheese (cheddar) instead of monterey or white american and it was good for a change!
My co-workers will be here in the area working longer than me and said they would come back next week!
