“Surprising”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2013

Spent an evening at Eurpoa Bistro with friends. Wasn't overwhelmed...wasn't disappointed. The atmosphere is cozy, loud, and friendly; the general environment was loud and room temperature near tropic zones. The menu was diverse, the food good, the prices the wrong side of almost reasonable. The real pleasure of the Bistro was the service. Servers are well versed, accommodating, helpful and frequently available. The service helps overcome the more mediocre aspects of the place. Out table indulged in salmon, ravioli, and a linguini dish. All were good, though not memorable. Europa is clearly a competent, neighborhood spot that will keep local regulars happy, first timers satisfied, and second timers not irritated for having returned.

“Authentic, European-style Italian Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2013

Europa is the kind of bistro you see in movies. Small tables, spaced closely together. Dim lighting. An open kitchen where the chef is singing opera as he cooks or cranks the ravioli press. And don't be surprised if Alfredo invites you back into the kitchen to show off his machine as it produces a strip of eight or 10 ravioli at a time. The food is fantastic. The service even more so. A little treasure in a quiet neighborhood in the North End's Proctor District.

“Loved Europa!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2013

Based on previous reviews, I was somewhat sceptical, but went on the recommendation of a family member who was with our party of five. Food was excellent. Service was prompt; the server was attentive. Shared the sauteed calamari, then the caprese appetizers. The herbed oil for bread dipping had the best garlic flavor. My lasagna was very good, so good in fact that I finished it and it was a big portion. Husband had the classic spagetti. Alfredo the owner sang and whistled while preparing food, he was a character who interacted with very well with his customers. Will definitely go back, loved the ambience and the food.

“Best food since New York”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

My husband and I love this little Italian restaurant it has so much warmth and charm. Alfredo the owner makes time every time he's there to come over and say hi and talk to my son giving him cookies and dough to make pizza for play. This restaurant is the only place we know we can go and well enjoy ourselves. My husband has tried nearly everything on their menu and all the specials. Home made pasta sausages etc. The negative reviews are so false its hard to understand where they ate because we go once a week and have been going since February. Nothing taste frozen and i have horrible acid reflux thanks to my first child but the sauce is so fresh I can eat my entire meal with no worries. Moving to ft Bragg in Feb and we will miss this restaurant more than anything else in Washington
