We had a niece and family in Tacoma from out of state and wanted to get the cousins together for a visit. In all, there were 16 of us ranging in age from 62-3 years old! One family eats glueten free, some were wine lovers and ALL left happy!!
The service was great and prices very reasonable!!

The customer service and restaurant atmosphere is okay. The food is what makes this chain restaurant so bad. The "salad" is a bag of iceberg lettuce with a few shreds of carrot thrown onto a plate with a few tasteless croutons if you're lucky. The bread is stale and cold. The ice cream is bland. The garlic Spaghetti was a cold bowl of garlic with a bit of spaghetti added in. Even when I sorted out the spaghetti from all the garlic it was no good. The garlic was overpowering and the spaghetti was cold, starchy, and tasted like it had been out all day. I was going to ask for a replacement dish, but I suspected it wouldn't be any different. The restaurant wasn't that old, but the food all tasted like it was. I was extremely disappointed. If a restaurant can't make it's name-sake dish well, there's no point in going.

Just when you think there can't be one more reason to love The Old Spaghetti Factory in Downtown Tacoma, they put gluten-free pasta on the menu! Our families have been meeting, greeting and chowing down at OSF for more than 30 years and it is the first place we think of when we're thinking of a great place to eat and have someone else wash the dishes. The food is consistently good, you always know the pasta will be perfect, the sauces savory, a nice little salad, warm bread, just enough desert to make it special and OMG, don't get me started on the Mizithra Cheese - my favorite ingredient! I have had cozy little business lunches and big, blow-out birthday parties there, and never had a cranky server, a soggy spaghetti or a bad time.
Call the family, or all your friends and go eat a great familiar meal in a place that always feels like home. See you there!

The Spaghetti Factory in Tacoma has been a long-time family favorite, especially when we had young children. We still enjoy going there for lunch during the work week. The meals are delicious and economical and the entire dinner includes hot bread, salad, entree and dessert.

This was our first time eating in an Old Spaghetti Factory restaurant in years. Probably, will be years again as well. The food was nothing special, simple salad, chicken parm which tasted like one of those frozen chicken patties and a small scope of ice cream totally lacking in flavor. Guess you do get what you pay for. There are cheap wines to go along with a cheap meal. To be honest the carafe of the house Chianti was probably the best part of the meal. Our server was friendly and provided decent service. This is a very noisy place with loads of kids running around. Be mindful that the parking spaces in the front of restaurant on the street are metered until 8pm. When we left several cars had parking tickets on them. Glad the hostess asked when we came in if we had paid or not so I went back and paid before we were seated. Sure glad I did.
