I would trade my MLB club and stadium in Milwaukee for the Rainiers and this beautiful stadium. Cheney Stadium IMO is one of the best in the nation for AAA, collegiate, and MLB. Having family in the Puget Sound area, we frequently pass Cheney Stadium several times during our visits each year. My mom surprised my wife and I with tickets to a Rainiers game this past weekend during a visit from WI, and we loved every minute of this experience.
$5 for game day parking, where else can you park for ANY event under $10? Local seafood and microbrews showcased, awesome experience for locals and tourists. The stadium is easy to navigate, and has a well stocked team shop. In between innings, classic film clips or audio bites entertained the crowd with the feeling of a home town baseball game. Microbrew, wine, garlic fries for under $20, great deal for game day experience. Where else can you see players in rehab from a MLB team or future prospects giving 110% to have an opportunity at the big leagues? Tickets were under $50 for 4 adults, behind home plate and 10 rows back.....I wish we could attend every home game. We noted how ADA friendly the stadium was set up, great to share with families and friends who need the assistance.
Tacoma has the most beautiful ballpark I have attended in a long time. I look forward to our return trip and another Rainiers ball game.
