“Leave time for the Hot Shop”
Reviewed December 28, 2013 via mobile

We see glass exhibitions whenever we can. This was a wonderful, informative place with a wide variety of artists and work. Live Hot Shop was awesome with plenty of glass making and explanation.
Will definitely come back!

“Loved to Watch Live Glasswork”
Reviewed December 24, 2013

Definitely the coolest part of a trip to the Museum of Glass was watching the live glassworkers in the Hot Shop. Super inspiring! The museum itself is not as big as I expected, but the art there was beautiful. Plus the location is gorgeous!

“Tacoma Glass Museum”
Reviewed December 14, 2013

We went to the glass museum becase some one recommended it. And it was well worth the trip & visit. It's really a gallery of different kinds of glass art. Great place to spend an afternoon admiring all the art. Very intriguing items. Also got to see a renoun glass blower make a vase from start to finish. They also have a resturant there that serves light meals. Just a few block for the Tacoma dome and easy to get to.

“Beautiful!”
Reviewed December 6, 2013

Walking on the bridge going over Interstate 5 is just beautiful. Ceiling and wall displays on the bridge are truly amazing! Such vibrant and intricate pieces of glass. Going into the Hot Shop and watching how glass art is made is extremely interesting. We could've just sat there all day watching them! It was a great experience.

“A true world class experience”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

The Museum of Glass, located on downtown Tacoma's Thea Foss Waterway, is an experience to be enjoyed over and over again! The surrounding area is filled with sights to enjoy..... a bridge over Interstate 5 is bordered with a wall and ceiling of amazing Dale Chihuly glass works and is truly stunning. Meandering the grounds of the Museum one finds water sculptures, a beautiful walkway along the Thea Foss, Marine works, and restaurants. Inside the exhibits, hot shop with an observation gallery, wonderful gift shop and cafe. This amazing attraction provides a tranquil getaway from the bustle of daily life! One of Tacoma's top gems.
