A very nice museum that yearly hosts a model railroad enthusiasts event weekend, the museum itself boasts interactive computers detailing what can be found in the very limited artifacts it has and offers excellent figures with accompanying sound play choices. The WA history section needs better guide markers to make more sense (it's easy to wander out of sequence) and is decidedly pro-union and heavy on exploited minorities biased, but still very nice and worth seeing.

Anyone who thinks history is boring should see the 21st century incarnation of the history museum, like this place. The events of the past are in context of artifacts and people, making it all come alive. I love the long arc of the definition of history here, with some focus on recent events, some on the very far past of geologic/natural history, and everything in between. My husband had to pry me away with a crowbar....

Stereotypical history museum with diaramas and pictures. Well laid out and easy to understand. Parking is accessible which makes it easy to attend. Across the street is an excellent brew pub called Harmon's.

Always something going on or some new display. Love the model trains upstairs, and the set displays of the history of Washington is fun to see and helped me to learn a lot. Staff very friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit

This is a great museum for all ages. Lots of exhibits to view and great resources for teachers. Check about their filed trips for classes. This is a super getaway for those rainy days. Pair it up with a trip to the Glass Museum as well.
