The glassblowing experience was $65 per person, or $125 if you wanted to do a "jumbo" piece. I opted for the "jumbo." So worth it! My bowl is beautiful. Brian my glass blower was amazing. When you get there, you choose what you'd liked to create. There are several shelves of different options, from floats and paper weights to platters and bowls. I believe they all can be made in either size. Then you choose your colors from bowls of glass flakes and lay them out on a tray the way you'd like them to be applied to your piece. Through the whole process they're there to help you decide what would look best and answer any questions. Then with the help of your glass blower you create your piece. They do the really heavy lifting, but if you really want to get in there and do it, they'll let you. They just make sure you end up with something goregous. Some people in my group were more timid than others, with all the fire and heat, and they accomodated them as well as the daredevils that pretty much wanted to handle all the hot stuff themselves. It was an amazing experience I would suggest to EVERYONE. In fact, we're planning another trip up to Washington so that my husband can do this since he wasn't on the trip with me! If I lived in the area I would have signed up for their six week class in a heart beat.
