Wish I could have spent more time here! Nice location in Tacoma w/ great view of Mt. Rainier from room. Nice touches in room different from most chains and reasonably priced as well. Great little bar area as well for the business traveler to unwind.

We had a family get together in downtown Tacoma so we got a room here since we got a discounted family rate. Very nice hotel but was disappointed in the size of the room. Staff was very friendly and the view from our room was great but like I said it was very small in size. The lounge bar was a great place to start off the night before we walked down to the establishments on Pacific Avenue. Great location and nicely appointed hotel.

Room Tip: If a larger room is an option go for it. Basic rooms are tiny.

My husband and I had our first experience at Hotel Murano this past weekend. We had concert tickets near Tacoma and wanted to stay at a decent hotel, and found the reviews on TripAdvisor to be positve. We were not disappointed with our choice to stay here. From the moment we walked in we were given superior service, even though the hotel was bustling with people due to many wedding parties being held at the property. Our room was clean, had quality bedding, and upscale furnishings. The view from our room on the 23rd floor was nice and even with the hotel "over-booked" it was very quiet and we had no problems whatsoever. The elevator service was a bit slow, as mentioned by other reviewers, but definitely not a huge issue while we were there. Each floor has a different theme/glass artist, and with each stop on various floors we took a peek at the display from the elevator, so the elevator stops became interesting. We enjoyed our breakfast in Bite, (the restaurant within the hotel) before checking out on Sunday and were pleased with the price, staff and quality of food. We are already planning out next stay in November. Highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel is located in old downtown Tacoma, like many old downtowns there is a wide mix of new buildings, old buildings (many empty), bars, restaurants. We stayed at this hotel because my wife had a conference there and we spent 5 nights. Hotel is upscale, modern, clean. Beds were comfortable. Hotel staff is very friendly and polite. The valet parking crew did a great job suggesting where I could eat that was within easy walking distance. They were 5 for 5 with their suggestions. Hotel is across the street from the Convention Center, and a few blocks from the Museum of Glass which is a must-see and the U of Washington-Tacoma campus. A small trail line runs thru the old downtown to the Tacoma area. There is ample daily-fee parking and a daily-fee for highspeed internet, these add another $25 to your daily rate. We were able to request a small refrigerator. We got a great view of Mt. Rainier on clear days.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the harbor which also gives you a view of Mt.Rainier.

My daughter (aged 26) and I have fun hobby of going to different cities to see concerts. Last year, it was Justin Timberlake and The Rolling Stones in London, this year it is the Steve Miller Band and Journey near Tacoma. We chose the Hotel Murano based on the Tripadvisor ratings and we were glad that we did. Bright, vibrant public spaces, roomy rooms with quality beds and sheets, contemporary styling, outstanding service. What else can you ask for?

Room Tip: We received a city view room. Apparently the rooms on the south side get a Mount Rainier view.

I stayed at the Murano for 6 nights on a business trip. The hotel is located near several decent bars and restaurants. The view of Mount Rainier from my room was excellent, but seasonal. The breakfast options in the hotel were quite good.

Each floor has an art theme, I was on the 6th I think and theme was glass breasts. No joke. The only real issue I had with the hotel was with the long wait for the elevator on a busy weekend. One elevator was under renovation, maybe when that is complete the situation will improve.

Parking was $10 per day for hotel guests. In my opinion it should be complimentary.

Room Tip: Higher floor will have better view of downtown and mountains.

Hello Mark,

Thanks for the feedback, I am glad that you had a good experience.

We are proud of the Glass Art on display throughout our facilities, representing over 45 artists from around the world. Some of the presentations might be considered "offbeat" for sure, but... the creativity and variety is quite FUN.

Sorry about the elevator issues, but, the good news is that the full modernization project will be over real soon.

I hope that you'll have another chance to stay with us in the future.

This was our first stay at the Hotel Murano and we had a great experience. Check in went very smoothly and the front desk was very welcoming. Our room was well appointed, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Dinner at the main restaurant downstairs was excellent even though we entered five minutes before closing. We had one minor problem arise during our stay, but the staff addressed it quickly and professionally. We loved the hotel's location and great views of Mount Rainier. We would stay again if we are ever in Tacoma again! Keep up the good work! The art collections throughout the hotel are fascinating, especially the glass ships on the Lobby floor.

Room Tip: Rooms on the side that face Mount Rainier and the water have a lovely view (at least from the higher...
