Food was nothing to brag about, just fine, good portions, and tasty with a variety of selections. Many local brews to select from. Service was friendly. Nice place to stop for lunch or diner if picking local diner in Stevenson, Washington.

The Alaskan Wild Sockeye Salmon Cake “Starter” was very good, but a little oily. Unfortunately our dining experience was cut short by a large party of 8 loud young children who were seated next to us after we received our drink order. Because of these extremely ill mannered children, whose parents were oblivious to the noise their little darlings were making, we could not stay for an entrée. This is not Big River’s fault, but be aware that this establishment which appears to be an adult tavern, is actually child friendly.

Great food and service. Convenient parking on the street. Get there early, if you can. Their reputation makes it a popular spot.

We really enjoyed our lunch here. It is not fancy, but comfortable and has a "local" feeling. Lots of interesting stuff on the walls on the history of the area and really good food. Nice people too.

Dined here after reading tripadvisor reviews and not wanting to dine at the Lodge. The place was slammed, so ate at the bar. Good beer choices and menu was same as referred in the reviews, so must be standard with a nightly special. Ate the garlic prawns over bow tie, very nice meal. Likely to dine here again after conference is over and go for the meatloaf!
