The Imas Creek Trail is plesant to walk. It affordes a look at the lake and mountains. I like the bench about half way through the trail, a good place to set and enjoy the view.
I hope the Park Service repairs the bridge crossing that washed out late this summer.

“Imus Creek Trail - backward and forward”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

Nice 35-40 minute hike near The Lodge at Stehekin. Saw blue grouse, chipmunks, and the view at the top is beautiful. We stayed at the lodge for 4 days so had time to do this hike from both ends. Good exercise. I read that part of the lower west end washed out with mudslides from bad rain storms around Sept. 5.

A fun, easy walk behind the Stehekin landing, fairly good views of the lake. We had free time one afternoon and took this trail. Nice trail, nothing particularly outstanding.

“A good hike for a short visit”
Reviewed February 16, 2012

If you're only coming to Stehekin for a day trip (don't go with that temptation! stay longer!), this is a good 45-minute hike for people in decent shape. It is a bit of a climb, though, so if you're not a great hiker, plan on it taking a little longer. Decent views from the top - although if you're around longer than just a day, there are hikes with better views.

“Imus Creek Trail - Easy hike, well shaded, but hot on top”
Reviewed July 28, 2010

The Imus Creek Trail loop is a quick, easy hike (less than a mile). It is mostly in shade, but it did get very hot the farther from the lake we climbed. There is a bench at the top of the trail that would be lovely at twilight. You can start this hike either behind the Golden West Visitor Center or above the Purple Point campground.
