Tops here are the creative, delicious cocktails, such as the Cranberry Sidecar or my personal favorite, the Wild Sage Martini. Creative combinations that really work, and not so heavy on just alcohol. These are not your sugary concoctions, they are sophisticated, tart, savory, and fun. The menu has changed quite a bit in the past five years as they adapt to the economy. What I like is that the food is local. They have their own garden in the summer and also buy from local producers. They participate in local events and have a good community ethic. Service is usually quite good, although sometimes a bit too formal for my taste. In holiday season, reservations are a must, although if you arrive early, you might snag a seat at the bar. We liked this place enough to have them cater a fiftieth-birthday and retirement combo party at our home. Food was excellent, and best of all, they did the entire buffet setup, then came back the next day and cleaned it all up. All we had to do was box the leftovers and place them in the fridge. The Wild Sage is our usual spot for dining out in Spokane with friends.
