“Fun place for an omelette.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

Knight's is a great place to get breakfast any morning. Friendly cooks and the train car seating makes the dining experience loads of fun. Be warned not to take groups larger than 4 because of the bar-style seating.

“FOUND THIS TRAIN DINER BY CHANCE-WILL RETURN BY CHOICE!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2012

What a super train diner and what an AWESOME breakfast and lunch! Visiting Spokane, my husband and I were lost trying to find an entrance to I-90, when we came upon this restaurant and just had to stop because we love trains, and anything to do with trains. Knight's diner is a Northern Pacific 1906 all-wood railroad passenger car. It has the original stained glass windows, and it has oil lamps(electrified) and two small red sofas along with several photographs and the history of the diner. One interesting fact is that the original owner Mr. Knight, had been advised by a friend to bury his money just before the great depression, which he did, and then he dug it up later and purchased this car and refitted it to be a diner in 1949. Now Vicki Green has owned it for years and we so enjoyed meeting her as she zoomed around, cooking, taking orders, and making sure every customer was taken care of. It is a happy place--there are 28 chairs at the counter with a griddle behind the counter. People talked with each other at the counter and the sounds of laughter were everywhere. As for the food--it was simply put, DELICIOUS. Our server, Rachel is a delight and full of energy--I asked her to tell the chef to please make my breakfast homemade hashbrowns crispy, and she said--sure-I'm the chef!! Each server cooks the meal for the customer! The breakfast was wonderful and my husband's lunch cheeseburger was excellent. They are known for their Big Breakfasts, homemade soups, and homemade pies!! They are only open 6:30-2, (closed Mondays) so if you want a delicious, fun, entertaining meal with a little history, climb aboard!! Deb and Harry

“Great breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2012

Friendly service, top-rate ingredients, and a really interesting interior (kind of makes me wish we still had rail travel with cars like this -- but I digress). Try anything on the menu; you will not be disappointed. Pricier than a McBreakfast, but then again, it's also much better than one.

“Always nice to come home to”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2012

I moved from Spokane 16 years ago but when ever I return I always make a pilgrimage to Knight's Diner. Good food and friendly people. Be sure to get the home made hash browns with onions and gravy with what ever you order. You can't beat it for breakfast.
