It would be hard to beat Frank's just based on the fact that it is in a beautifully restored historic train car. However, the food is great and the staff are outstanding. Our favorite waitress has been their longer than our 20 years of marriage! You may have to wait a bit, or go at off hours, but this is completely worth the wait. They serve breakfast all day and have other diner favorites for lunch and dinner.

We recently enjoyed our breakfast at Frank's Diner. We were somewhat daunted by the wait time, but a fellow diner assured us that this was a return trip for them and definitely worth the wait, so we took a chance. I'm glad we waited because just the atmosphere and the ambiance is worth a visit, and the great breakfast was an added bonus! Our waitress, Gage, was spunky and quirky--and kept the coffee and corny riddles coming while we were waiting for our breakfast to be served. Would return and certainly recommend.

The buzz of Frank's reputation is well-deserved. One of the cutest breakfast spots imaginable with exceptionally friendly service to accompany it. I went out on a limb and got the meatloaf benedict and am still regularly thinking about it (and its excellent gravy). This is the type of spot that you wish you could pick up and bring back to your own town. But unable to do that, get up early and check this off.

FYI - We got there at about 8:30 on a Saturday morning and did not have to wait.

So, Sunday a day of religious activities, football, and quietness. Frank Diner is a awesome breakfast nook. The downside are the following. 1. Get early or be ready to wait. 2. Cramp quarters so share elbow space at the front counter, or be skinny and watch your knee's. 3. I have heard the restrooms are tight too. OK, the good news. The wait is well worth the experience. Good friendly services, and great food.

I think Frank has two one downtown taking the Maple St north. 2 lights from right turn, better be in the left lane or you will be out of luck.

The other in Division almost all the way out of town, the second is newer.

Kids love the feeling of eating on a train and see the history. Take time and share parent or grand parents who may have actually been on one of the passenger trains of the late 30-50. By time the 60's came planes and cars displaced history and this travel.

Great place and experience. Well done!

This was a nice discovery while driving through from Seattle to Missoula. It showed up on Google and looked interesting. Great diner food in an authentic restored early 20th century rail-car. Convenient access to I-90.
