Have eaten at The Onion several times while on layover (flight crew). Obviously, I like it. Service has always been first rate, except for one occasion when it was indifferent at best. I attribute that to the individual server.

Thank Bill K

Had dinner at the Onion on Saturday night after a long day of volleyball. We were a group of 6 adults and 5 17-18 year olds. There were already 3 large groups in the restaurant when we arrived and were told it would be at least 20-30 minutes before they could take our order. We were ok with that and were asked to be seated while we waited. We were at two booths (one for the kids and one for the adults). They apparently overestimated the wait and were able to take our orders within 10 minutes. The menu is quite varied and had the typical bar food: fish and chips, burgers, and sandwiches but it also had seafood (halibut with lemon seasoning), grilled meatloaf, and huge salads. What really stood out to us were their onion rings (HUGE onions with a nice crispy batter) and the desserts. The girls shared an order of deep fried oreos which were served with a side of hot fudge and whipped cream while I had a handscooped chocolate banana shake. We enjoyed our food and the visit so much, my daughter and I returned the following night for another round of desserts. Definitely something to check out if you're in the area.

Four of us visited this restaurant over Christmas. All of our drinking glasses had lumps of food stuck to the outside. We asked the waitress to tell the manager but he never appeared.
When our cutlery arrived this was filthy too. When we asked to see the manageress she told us she was sorry and that she was going to tell the dishwasher if it happened again he would be fired. Wow....The manageress was dirty and grubby looking,no wonder we experienced what we did....stay away from this place if you like being healthy...remember
Jack in the Box killed many people.

Great selection, great quality of ingredients. The fish and chips were very good, the Philly Cheese Steak my friend said was really good, looked so good I was suffering from food envy! My other friend had the French Dip that was also tasty. Service was good.
