This park is worth the time. Be sure to see the free conservatory and Japanese Gardens. The rose garden is beautiful this time of year as well

Manito Park is one of the many Gems in Spokane. The lilac garden, Japanese garden, rose garden, arboretum, other gardens, open spaces, family park, ... all are excellent, beautiful, well-maintained, spaces. Our favorites - rose garden and Duncan gardens. Always beautiful and inspiring.

I've visited this garden many times. It is amazingly kept with wonderful variety. There is never a time or season that this isn't a special place. Even through the changes in season, the colors, shapes and aromas offer beauty and tranquility.

What a find! My husband and I spent over two hours walking through the park enjoying the various gardens and conservatory. Our visit was the perfect time for roses - the entire 4 acre rose garden was colorful and fragrant. The small dahlia garden was in bloom as was the experimental fuchsia garden. Some of the annuals in the Duncan garden were fading but there was still plenty of beauty and color to enjoy. Don't miss the conservatory with it's tropicals and succulents. I discovered some varieties I hadn't seen elsewhere.
There's no admission charge and it's a great place to enjoy nature whether you're a plant lover or just want to enjoy the outdoors in a lovely setting.

This lovely city park was a surprise! We toured the quiet Japanese garden, meant for reflection and meditation, and Duncan garden which was still mostly in bloom. The conservatory was closed for pesticide spraying. The Duncan garden was beautifully manicured and the color combinations stunning.
