Manito Park is 90 acres of park and gardens. There is a surprise around every corner. There is a small Japanese garden that is exquisite. It's every bit as beautiful as larger gardens I have visited. They also have a formally laid-out garden reminiscent of Versailles, a lilac garden (after all Spokane is famous for their lilacs!), a beautiful perennial garden and a rose garden which I unfortunately didn't have time to see. :-( There are other areas in the park that are hilly, grass-covered and treed that look like a lovely place to put down a blanket and read a book or take a nap. Then there are areas for family picnics that include play areas for the kids. All in all a delightful experience.

A great place to unwind and enjoy the pond, the conservatory, the garden, just a great place to see in Spokane. Don't miss this place, has a picnic area, chairs, parking is limited but the park is so big you can always find a spot somewhere.

we went to Manito Park and found the Lilac garden which was taken care of by the Spokane Lilac Club. The fragrances were wonderful. Then we continued on the city tour drive which was also interesting.

Wow!! This park is one of the most beautiful parks my wife and I have ever experienced, especially the Japanese garden. Flowers, ponds, playgrounds, trees, whatever you like about nature is there. Definitely worth the visit.

We spent over an hour on a Sunday morning strolling the grounds & taking photos. So nice that you can take your dog too. There were few Koi in the Japanese garden because some moron dumped domestic fish & ther disease killed the koi (they have signs up about not adding fish now).
