The rose garden has special memories for me dating back 50 years to a photo of a young me and my dad. My wife and I have been there several times, and made it a stop in April prior to a move out of state. The Japanese garden in the park is also quite beautiful.

We always take our guests to this park. It has everything you could want and more. That being said tucked away near the rose garden is a magical place...their dalhia garden. A patch of ground that displays the finest dalhias in Spokane. In fact this hosts a society that judges new varities of dalhias. We were lucky enough on a few occasions to meet the ever friendly dalhia tenderer and walked away with a beautiful bloom to take home.

You can't go wrong with Manito Park. Between the Duncan Gardens and the Japanese Gardens it's Spokane premier park.

Manito Park, located in Spokane WA. is truly breathtaking. This floral park was built in the early 1900s& is still in operation today. With the diligent help of the city of Spokane. This 200 acre + is a labor of love for the workers who prune, clean, mow and trim all of the floral gardens here. There is an arboritum with many varieties of tropical plants. There is the English Garden, & the Rose Garden.
So, if you are in Spokane in the summer, make sure you find your way to Manito Park.Take a picnic lunch and enjoy the serene surrounding s and the beautiful flora that surrounds you.
There is no charge to enjoy this jewel in Spokane.
