It's a very different kind of restaurant. The ambiance was exceptional but table was somewhat cramped since elbows were everywhere while cooking your own food. If you have two hours to spend for dinner then it's okay. It just wasn't my thing!

My honey and I have been doing our anniversary date nights at the Spokane Melting Pot for several years now and have always enjoyed ourselves. I like the service except if you don't make a reservation in advance and you walk in they will tell you they can not seat you for at least a half hour even if the place is clearly not busy. I suggest a nice dry martini as a starter. Our server was helpful with coming up with a solution to allow us experience an enjoyable meal without the overstuffed feeling we have had in the past - buy a single but ask for a regular cheese and chocolate service. It worked perfectly and we enjoyed a red wine with the dark chocolate dessert fondue. I still recommend this place for an relaxing good fondue experience. Love the cheese the most.

A group of friends and I ate there last night: the service was incredibly slow and a bit stilted. We ordered two pots of cheese - when prepared there was barely enough to feed 4 people and that combined with our paltry side salads already totaled $50, add the desert pots and a glass of wine and each of us was paying about $33 not including tip. The "uniqueness" of the experience was okay - but honestly, don't go there if you are expecting portions to fill you up. If we had ordered even one meat entree our per person total would have shot up to $41 each. Not worth it.

We love going to the melting pot. The service is fabulous ant the manager always comes by to personally make sure all is well. If you have never gone you should know that you need 1.5 to 2 hours to experience the full meal deal and plan accordingly if taking children.
