“Very nice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2013

I have stayed at both Red Lions in the Spokane area and both are very nice. Very nice hotel and staff is very friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable but a very large 2 story hotel so if you have issues walking ask for a room closer to the main lobby. I was fine and it was nice a quiet way in the back. If you plan to go to the Bar/restaurant skip it and go elsewhere. Staff is not that friendly and I went twice and should have gone elsewhere.

Room Tip: If you have walking issues ask for a room closer to the lobby or resturant

Was in for one night on a business trip. I thought I'd try and make it to the hotel just using my mind and road signs from the airport and you can totally do it. Nice and straight forward. There was loads of parking which is always nice. The front desk staff were efficient and polite. I stayed in the river building on the second floor. It was a bit noisy from some construction there were doing in the afternoon but no problems at all at night. I slept great, their beds are really comfy. I had breakfast in the restaurant and it was really good as well. I ordered off the menu but they have a traditional breakfast buffet if that's what you prefer.

Room Tip: my room had an odd number and looked over the parking lot, I think even numbered rooms must look ove...

We stay at Red Lion properties because they are dog-friendly, but this one needs some updating. Hallways are dark and dated, and bathrooms are worn. And what hotel doesn't have flat screen and pay-per-view movies? We also thought we'd have a river-view room but the buildings are designed at an angle - the only view rooms are set back next to the pool, which on a hot day is probably the nosiest place to be.

The best thing about the hotel is that it's on the River Walk Path which leads into the old World's Fair grounds - an absolutely beautiful walk. Head back before sundown, because the path is very poorly lit, and a fair amount of sketchy people hang about in the park.

A much nicer property is the Red Lion at the Park - new, which view decks, and 2 pools.

Room Tip: The only real view rooms are over the pool.

Thank you fro the great review we are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay here.
We are very lucky to have such a great location. To be so close to the site of such a historical event makes it all the better. Our restaurant is one of the best kept secrets in Spokane with such a great view of the river its a marvel of its own. So tell you friends about this great secret and when there are here tell them to stop by the front desk and ask them about Expo 74 our front desk staff are very knowledgeable about Spokane history.
We look forward to having you come back and stay with us soon!!!

We've stayed here twice, both times getting a good price on Priceline. It's a nice Red Lion; the beds are comfortable and the room sizes are adequate. On our most recent trip, we had an infant and they provided a great portable crib (the same model of crib we were provided at a far more expensive hotel in downtown Seattle).

The location is convenient - just a reasonable walk from downtown Spokane and Riverfront Park. If you're jonesing for some fast food, there are a Wendy's and Chipotle right across the street.

Try to get a river view; the Spokane River is gorgeous.

From the ease of booking online to the final departure steps, this was an overall great experience. The location is one of the best in Spokane, with the river and walking path making for a calming view, also great for nature and people watching. With 2 pools to choose from, tennis & basketball court and excellent fitness center, there is something for everyone in your travel group to enjoy. Take in the view from the restaurant patio over happy hour with some munchies and a glass of Pinot Grigio or enjoy the daily breakfast buffet for an addition $10pp, when booked with your reservation. The rooms were spacious, clean, outfitted with a mini fridge and microwave. The beds were more than comfortable, with cozy soft linens and a good assortment of pillows to find the one or two or four that suite you best! I have nothing bad to say about this location and really do wish that this was always the case when travelling to new locations.

Room Tip: I recommend asking for a room by the shallow pool (1st pool) with the outdoor patio set located outs...

Our hotel room was in bldg 5 room 290. Outside of the room, before we even walked in we noticed spiderwebs hanging from the iridescent light fixture in front of our room. They had been there for quite some time as we could see the layers of dust hanging from them. We entered the room and there was a foul odor. We opened a window to air it out. We then left because the smell was so bad, hoping that when we returned it would be gone. When we got back it was cold so we turned on the heater. BAD IDEA the smell was horrid. We shut it off all together as we were so tired and just wanted to sleep. When I went to close the curtains dust filled the air and I started sneezing. I was so upset but just wanted to go to bed. I turned on the tv and there were streaks all over it from where the maid had "cleaned" it. So, I took a towel from the bathroom to clean it off and noticed a really bad "dirty/sour" towel smell from the tv and entertainment center as if it was wiped down with a filthy old rag. The chair in the corner had stains on it. Decided to just go to sleep. In the morning after I walked a few times back and forth around in the room getting ready for the day, I went to put on my shoes. My brand new white socks were BLACK on the bottom! From walking around on that filthy carpet!! I was so disgusted! I was going to complain but we were already running late and I was stressed out as it was with staying the night in a room so filthy. I wanted to cry as I had planned a last minute trip to get away with my husband because we have been working so much and needed a break.

We booked through Hotwire for a great price. Sometimes doing so you receive less than perfect service. Not so here...great service, wonderful staff. Room was lovely and comfortable. This is a great place to stay in summer because of the pools and outdoor area right by the river. The hotel is walking distance to downtown but it was pouring rain so we took advantage of the shuttle service both ways. The drivers were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Spokane.
