We booked a room through Priceline and requested 2 double beds right after booking through Priceline. They were overbooked and our request was denied. The room was too small for 2 adults and 2 little kids; even not enough for only 2 adults. We asked a upgrade and they offered a sweet room with $20/night extra charge. They gave us a roll-away bed for free. Overall, it was very good hotel for family and staffs were friendly. Water slide was good for little kids. We highly recommend not to book this hotel through Priceline if you have more than 2 people.

This hotel has a great location, walking distance to Gonzaga and right on the Riverfront Park. Lots of highs and lows with this property....Appears to be recently updated rooms and linens. Check in clerk seemed grumpy and uninterested in her job. Bellman was very helpful and friendly. The housekeeping staff were super friendly, but we found that the rooms were not cleaned up to our standards (found a cookie under the bed on our second night, retainer band on bathroom floor). Breakfast buffet was good and the wait staff was friendly, but only got two included breakfasts with our room and had to pay for the third. Lovely pool area with restaurant service but the water slide didn't open until 1:00pm on our checkout day, so my daughter missed using it totally. The front desk clerk at check out (who was very friendly and helpful) gave us a $20 credit for the inconvenience at the pool. They also had a very nice fitness center.

Room Tip: Ask for poolside.

The staff and facility at Red Lion Inn at the Park are very good.
I stayed two nights and the bed, blankets, and linens were excellent - clean and comfortable.
I ate the breakfast buffet and enjoyed it: fluffy scrambled eggs with dices fresh tomatoes and scallions. The potatoes were excellent as well. The bacon was crisp and the link sausage was good. the selection of fruit, breads, and juices were acceptable and fresh.

The pool area was clean, well stocked with towels and everyone was welcome and had a good time.

My only complaint was having to pay $9.00 per night for parking. This is not a downtown 'high-rise' neighborhood where space is at a premium. They have a large property with plenty of room - there's no need to gouge the clients for $9 each night.

I've been a member of The red Lion R&R Club before it held that name (another chain then).
This is now and remains one of their better properties.

We had a great time. The hotel is beautiful and is located in an excellent spot. It's easy to get to other places in the city - all within walking distance. It is a wonderful place to stay with kids. The pool is very fun. Loved the fact that if you wanted to have a beer or a cocktail by the pool it was ok to do so. The rooms were very nice and clean. The breakfast buffet was really good. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. It was fun to be able to take one of the many footbridges across the river to go explore the city. Lots and lots of stuff to do. Can't wait to return - for sure next summer and hopefully before that! And the city of Spokane is incredible. I was amazed how clean it is and how nice everyone is. We traveled to here for our son's basketball team who were taking part in a basketball camp at Gonzaga. it was nice to be able to get to the games within 10 minutes of the hotel.

Room Tip: I would suggest that if you are going to stay here with your family and it is during the summer, try...

Stayed at this hotel last 7/25 - 7/27 with our 2 kids.....First of off when checking in the front desk lady tells me I should change our reservation for the buy 2 get one free night offer, but it can only be done on the internet. So I go out to the car get my laptop to change our reservation, could not find this offer. Go back up to the front desk she calls reservations and finds out the offer ended June 30th. So this visit did not start well.

There were no kids cartoon channels, big stain on carpet, tub stained, no crayons at the restaurant, very rude cleaning lady when I asked for some towels. Not very kid friendly, which you think it would be with all the hype of the pool with a slide.

When we called down about the cartoons they sent someone up to 'fix' it. He did nothing so they sent another person he also did nothing. Someone was in our room when we were not there. They ran a card audit. It was a worker that come into our room to change out the remote "just in case that was the problem". This may seem trivial yet when you are traveling with kids they DO look forward to the tv at the hotel.

We do not go on vacation very often so this was a big disappointment. We chose Red Lion because of the name. The Red Lion DID NOT live up to the name at all.

I bokked a handicapped room but that is not what I got. It was a regular room. There are no signs or directions available on where to find the ice machines. They are on every other floor. I finally found someone that knew this. I walked down from the floor I was staying on because the elevator at the end of the hall was out of service because of construction. That ice machine was not working so I went down two more floors and finally got ice. There is nothing anywhere that says there are vending machines and ice machines on every other floor. Are you to cheap to put machines on each floor. When we got back to the room the next day at 4 PM the room had not been made up yet. We finally got clean towels by 5. The next morning at 9:30 AM the corridor was full of maids. The glasses had lip prints on them so we didn't use them. The general cleanliness was shown by the glasses. Maybe if your maids could speak English they might know what is required.

Room Tip: Pick another Motel. Red Lion used to be a quality chain.

I apologize for everything that you experienced during your stay. I will be speaking to our housekeeping staff regarding the experience with your guest room. I do appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback, as I will be implementing the idea of creating signs for the ice machines and soda machines being on different levels. I do hope you will give the Red Lion another opportunity to provide excellent service for your future stays.

Kind Regards,
Dominic Longo

My husband & I stayed here for business and vacation. This hotel was clean, comfortable, great food, great service, and excellent pools, both indoor & out. I would recommend this hotel for business, couples, & families. The only downsides were lack of choices on TV and our tub mat smelled moldy.
