No matter where you begin your ride in Spokane, Post Falls or Coeur d Alene, this trail is a great ride. Easy to moderate slopes along a paved trail on and off the river. I prefer to start early or ride later in the evening. Mid day has more usage and can be hard for true riders sharing the narrow trail with family riders or roller blades. I walked this trail for a ways with family. We enjoyed the river views, the flowers and friendly other walkers.
I didn't like the bike riders who seldom announced they were coming and were going extremely fast for a pedestrian/bike path.

37.5 miles long, the Centennial Trail begins at the Idaho state line and ends at Nine Mile Falls, Washington. Our one-of-a-kind Trail has its metropolitan center section in downtown Spokane, and branches out to more rural east and west endpoints. The Trail's path generally follows the contours of the Spokane River, allowing access for many types of outdoor non-motorized recreational activities.
