Stayed at the North Spokane Comfort in on 6/20/08.
The guys at the front desk could use some customer service skills. They seemed more interested in whatever they were looking at on their laptops than making me feel welcome.
We got to the hallway and started to wonder if we made a big mistake staying here. It was extremely hot and humid and the carpet looked like it hadn't been replaced or cleaned in years.
We got into the room and it was about 90 degrees F. We turned the A/C on high and it finally cooled down about 4 hours later.
The floor had food crumbs all over it and plastic wrappers from the last guest. It was 11pm and the front desk guy had said they were fully booked so we just tried to deal with it.
We carefully pulled off the sheets from the bed and they looked and smelled somewhat clean, so we went to bed.
The tv did have a lot of channels. That was probably the highlight of the room. Oh, also the coffee was pretty good and the coffeepot worked properly.
The bed was horribly hard and the springs left my back hurting the next morning.
The most frightening part of the room was the bathroom. There was mold like stuff around the floor by the shower and gunk and grime.
We got out of there pretty quick after getting showered. We didn't eat the breakfast, but the pool and lobby did look clean and inviting.
The lady for checkout was also not very friendly or hospitable.
I would not stay here again or suggest it to anyone. The floor in the room was not cleaned of crumbs and plastice wrappers, the bed was very bad, and the bathroom needed to be bleached and scrubbed down to kill the mold and gunk around the shower.

If only this place put a fraction as much attention on the halls and rooms as they do their professionally decorated lobby, it would have made a big difference. The lobby waiting area is beautifully decorated, clean and luxurious. The room was dark, very dated, dirty looking, and had the extreme level of cover-scent products that not only challenges your sinuses, but tells you the carpet is probably so full of nasty biological material that you don't want to get stirred up and cling to you The minute we went in the room we felt we had made a big mistake. The price wasn't bad for a motel, but I expected a whole lot more from the name "Comfort Inn". The continental breakfast area was impressive, but there was no room to sit and enjoy it. One of the most displeasing things was that someone came into our room and dropped off more towels (we hadn't requested them, they just hadn't been put in when we came in) when we were out, even though we had the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door.

While in Spokane for a few days, two adults and two teens booked into this fine joint and I'm darn glad we did.The room was fine and the service was excellent. One reviewer was correct in saying it is one of the best values in town.We also loved the buffet grub house next door.........lot's of steak! This Comfort Inn is also close to Northtown Mall so you can shop and catch a movie and possibly make everybody happy!Overall it's truly one of the best bangs for your buck.

We checked in Saturday afternoon April 28 and discovered Sunday morning that bath towels had not been provided, even though the front desk had said at check-in that the room was "ready."

We called the front desk Sunday morning, but were told no one would bring towels to the room. My wife got dressed and went off to retrieve the towels.

We then found that the plastic bracket holding the portable shower head at the top of the shower stall was broken, meaning we had to hold the shower head in one hand and wash with the other.

I reported that problem to the front desk and asked that it be repaired. It was not. And although many rooms were vacated Sunday, we were not offered an alternate. So we had the same problem Monday morning.

The facial-tissue dispenser remained empty during our two-night stay. That's a small thing, but an indicator that housekeepers weren't detail-oriented and were not properly trained or supervised.

We will not stay at a Comfort Inn again.

I stayed at this Hotel this past weekend with our hockey team. I was very hesitant to stay after reading the other reviews on this site, but decided to try it so that we could be with the whole team. I am rather fussy when it comes to accomodations and so was the other hockey mom I was sharing a room with, so we were somewhat skeptical going in and had made a pact that we would both switch hotels if it wasn't up to our standards. Well we were very pleasantly surprised with what we ended up with. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of foods to suit all tastes and diets. There was fresh coffee available all day as well as hot water for tea or hot chocolate. I enjoyed taking a hour one day to sit in the cozy lobby and read a magazine, have a hot cup of tea while my son played his favorite internet game on the computer. We were even treated to fresh baked cookies!! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They were more than happy to let us use the breakfast room one night to have a little birthday party for one of the boys! The only missing amenities that I would have liked are an indoor pool and in-room mini fridge and microwave. Other than that I would definitely stay there again. The value for the price was excellent! Great job guys!

  • Liked — Staff and price
  • Disliked — lack of amenities
  • Tips/Secrets — Fred Meyer has great deals! Also Steve & Barry's at Northtown MAll

Excellent location and all was perfect for a reasonable price...
Friendly efficient staff and room was modern and clean.
Breakfast was slightly above the typical fare.
Incredible buffet restaurant right across the parking lot and a great location on N Division for hitting the shopping spots.

I chose to spend the extra few dollars for the jacuzzi suite and will never live it down. The carpet was bright green, the tub was brown, and there was mosquito netting around the bed. The bathroom was so small my husband had to stand in the shower to close the door.

The jets on the jacuzzi are not aimed properly, and we ended up soaking the carpet. I doubt we were the first. The tiles right next to the tub are cracking and water was getting under them.

But the location is good. There are free cookies in the evening. The hot tub in the basement is nice. There's also a games room for the kids. And it was inexpensive.

Breakfast was okay, but get there early. It was really crowded, and there wasn't enough time for everyone to get themselves something. Not enough tables or toasters. I think they need to extend their hours.
