“Great for a late night light dinner”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

My husband and I frequent The Attic often when we want a light, late evening dinner coupled with great wine (you can order from the menu in the Attic or request a full wine menu from the restaurant). Have always had great food and great service. It would be nice if there were a few more food options on the menu but what we have ordered has never disappointed. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is comfortable. And you can enjoy live music on Friday and Saturday nights (acoustic guitar and not too loud).

“Bring back the old menu!”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

We have been coming here for 8 years for weekend getaways and have always looked forward to the cheese burger with it's brioche bun and yummy cheese, etc. and the pomme frites! Now its gone! We had the flat bread as a starter, the mushroom one, and the dough was terrible! It tasted like store bough dough, it was not flat bread, more like thick and dry bread. I had the grilled cheese and my husband had a pizza. The pizza was good and my grilled cheese was pretty good. Nice presentation. The chips looked yummy, but were a little tastless. The tomato dipping sauce was cold, it would be better served hot. We love the new look of the attic and service was perfect, but the menu is terrible! We want soups (not just one!) more sandwich choices and side salads, not just a small caesar salad, but how about a small mixed green? Soup salad and 1/2 sandwich on the menu would be so appreciated!! Butternut squash soup would be amazing! Back in the day you made the best french onion soup on the planet, and you got rid of that, why did you mess with perfection? The food did not hit the spot. We will now have to rethink where to eat when visiting. bummer!

“Please expand the menu”
Reviewed December 24, 2012

The fresh remodel of the Attic means Trip Advisor should clear the slate for reviews as the entire restaurant is different. The Attic still offers a casual place for reasonably priced food in a very pleasant atmosphere in a great location. The remodeled dining room/bar is very nice and comfortable with a good mix of sitting options (tables, bar and several grouped lounge chairs). We went on Christmas Eve after a long day hiking and were happy to sit in a warm, casual environment. We were lucky to get a table as the place was packed, with just enough noise to let you know people were enjoying themselves. We were met by a server in about 10 mins, which wasn't bad for the level of activity (it seems they may have been caught off guard by the number of folks on staff).

As others have written, the menu is pretty sparse. We opted for the salmon chowder, which I liked but husband thought there had too much fennel. The grilled cheese was a little greasy, with cold tomato puree (almost a marinara) on the side and could have used some sharp cheddar to add a bite. The potato chips, although I think they're made on site, were unmemorable. This meal would have been better with a small cup of tomato soup, some sharp cheddar and maybe an option of adding ham. Wouldn't order this again.

the Ham/Gruyere flatbread pizza was very nice. A thin, puffy crust that can only be pulled off in a wood fire oven (I did pizzas in college) and the chef pulled this off successfully. Just a little bit of some very salty, fresh ham chunks that taste like they were taken right off the bone (this ham shoulda' been offered on the cheese sandwich) matched with a tad bit of gruyere made this a perfect mix. Not too heavy, but substantial. I would order this again.

The 'Shareables' section looked pretty good. These consisted of a crab/cheese dip that looked good, mac-n-cheese and meatballs. I'll probably try these on my next visit.

I think if the menu is expanded the Attic will be a hidden gem. While I think they're trying to stick to a simple, eclectic menu that they can do with just a wood fire oven, adding the cheeseburger, club sandwich and onion soup from the old menu would go a long way.

Give this place a try...it's different but that's what makes it nice. Then add your opinions here and maybe they'll work on the menu.

“Spectacular view - spectacular food!”
Reviewed December 15, 2012

We were lucky to get a table by the window up in The Attic overlooking Snoqualmie Falls. We shared the Salmon Chowder which was amazing. Then we had the crab topped macaroni & cheese & thought we were in heaven. Don't miss this little gem of a "romantic room with a view!!"

“Please add to the Attic Menu”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

My Wife and I stop by from time to time for drinks and food. However after the new remodel you better like pizza because the menu has changed. We found the pizza average but nothing to get excited about. Guess we will not be swinging by for a quick evening out.
