My partner and I went to The Attic for lunch today and we were disappointed with the service provided. When we were seated, the menus were placed on the side inside the bar menus, unopened, which I found unusual. After ordering the Chicken Caesar ($14) and the Pulled Pork sandwich ($13), we waited a full 45 minutes to get them served. The table which was seated 5-10 minutes earlier than us did not get served their meal until after we had finished ours! The meal itself was nothing spectacular and hardly worth the wait. The pulled pork had a slight barbecue flavor and the fries were average. When asked about the problem with the long wait for food, the waitress explained how the early afternoon rush wasn't expected. The weather was unexpectedly pleasant for a Western Washington Saturday in October, which may have accounted for the large number of patrons today. The wait staff seemed overwhelmed and almost panicked. The ambiance was okay. The fireplace was nice, and our table overlooked the falls. It offers a cozy atmosphere for the space. In any event, that meal was not the highlight of our visit to the falls. On the next visit we will splurge a little and try the restaurant downstairs.
